like what the archivist said "if a planet isn't in the archives, it never existed", that's pretty arrogant

André Dulac

Also in his books, Dooku encountered more cases of corruption with in the order and inaction from the jedi and senate leading him to eventually leave the order and is why he never met Obi Wan. Also he was always welcomed to the temple even when he wasn't a jedi because he was highly respected and was allowed to keep his lightsaber.

I don't think Qui Gon would have gone to the dark side. If anything I think he'd go the Ahsoka route and leave the Jedi order, but still be on the side of good. The song for the Qui Gon/Darth Maul fight is called Duel of the Fates, and it's named appropriately. If Qui Gon would have survived he'd have raised Anakin properly, and he would have stayed on the light side. Because he died, Anakin went to the dark side.

I understand what both shows are. You can say you think something is better without comparison, my opinion is that Andor is the best Star Wars content that Disney has put out so far. I still love Mando and all that brings but for me Andor is the better show.

Michael Husson

Definitely different shows going in different directions. Mandalorian is a Kurosawa gunslinger mixed with Lone Wolf and Cub show and Andor is a great depiction of tyranny and the people fighting it. Both superb at doing what they're doing, and comparing them doesn't really work.

Evan Flynn

I agree about the entire redemption arc being really interesting story content. But there's only one show that I've seen that shows what happens after they redeem themselves, and that's Stargate, SG1. In Star Wars, they redeem themselves then die straight after. What would have happened if they had lived and had to answer for their crimes? Vader helped destroy Alderaan, Kylo led the First Order, helped destroy multiple worlds and killed his own father. Would they have been accepted back, or would they have been tried for their crimes? "The force made me do it" probably wouldn't hold up as a defense for them.

Evan Flynn

According to Dave Filoni: "Frank Oz told me once that Yoda speaks that way specifically in honor of his own master. That was what he had thought about it." This hasn't been mentioned in any stories canon or legends that I know of, but now the idea is in Filoni's head and he has a tendency to end up canonizing ideas he has in his head.

Easy

He is a legend

Dawson

Didn’t impair his force abilities

Povenmire

Yup, I was always wondering what happened to her. Its great that this show expanded on her character but also shone a light on something else. Yoda is probably retarded because Yaddle doesnt speak backwards lol. Don't get me wrong I adore Yoda, always have but bruh he must've been dropped when he was a child. :)

That explanation by Filoni in the Archives blew my mind. He broke it down so nicely and with such passion and understanding that it really cheered me up seeing finally a guy who understands Star Wars and in a position to have a say in things. As a fan himself long before he was employed by them and his attitude and understanding really gave me hope for the future of SW.

I hate to compare Mandalorian to Andor. Both are trying to do different things and they both do it wonderfully. I love both shows. Andor was fantastic and I can't wait for season 2.

Quinten Shibusawa

Perfectly said.

Quinten Shibusawa

You can see Yaddle on the Jedi council in The Phantom Menace. But not after. So this explains her absence afterwards.

Povenmire

Will you be watching Andor in place of this when it’s finished?

Povenmire

The turn with Dooku makes so much sense. In the same way as Anakin the council is political and corrupt. Dooku sees the Repuplic and it’s people falling apart with the senate being at the forefront and the Jedi refuse to acknowledge or do anything about it. Dooku is frustrated because he is doing what a Jedi should which is fight for the people of the republic and Mace gets the spot on the council because he is like a robot and will always follow the rules. The council didn’t trust Qui-Gon and they didn’t send help and he died because of it. That was the last straw. The council serves the corrupt senate and allowed Qui-Gon to die. Dooku shouldn’t have turned to the dark side but he was right to leave the Jedi.

Sean Fuller

Why is it so easy to delete that? Because they didn't need the security because no Jedi would abuse the access. Another example of complacency/arrogance.

Frederik Jensen

Well that's what the duel of the fates is, it's the fate of Anikin. If Qui-Gon beat maul, Anikin would have a father figure instead of an older brother in Obiwan

Dawson

The next one was great as well!

Jacob Ember

If Quigon survived, I think he would have taken Anakin to the middle of nowhere to train him. He wouldn’t be evil, he would have been neutral, I think.

Anthony Daramola

Agreed, i think it might just be better than Mandalorian. It's certainly better written. And i'm saying that as a massive fanboy over the things they did in season 2 of Mandalorian.

Steffen K

Personally i like the next one better, but this one is certainly excellent

Steffen K

It made me chuckle when you called Master Yaddle, Baby female yoda. I know she was nowhere near as old as Yoda, but she was nearly 500 yrs old, I'm surprised you didn't recognize her name, you actually see her in episode 1 sat in her council seat. Absolutely loved all of these episodes, looking forward to your last 2 videos from this series. 😁👍

Mandy Sherratt

This short was exceptional! It was by far my favorite out of all six! It’s pretty crazy how fleshed out Dooku’s character is in this series. I actually felt bad about his turn to the dark side. Also, Yaddle rocks!

Jacob Ember

Fixed now, thanks Holden! :)

Jacob Møller

Got access to 3 now :)

Christopher Struthers

Personally I think it’s the best Star Wars content Disney has put out so far regardless of maturity but that certainly does help

Michael Husson

Give it a try now my guys

Holden Hardman

Hm, still not working for you guys? I might reupload it here then

Holden Hardman

considering his preference towards mature content he'd certainly enjoy it, as this is mature as star wars will ever get

Christopher Struthers

Same here, episode 3 is locked and i see epsiode 4 :)

Jacob Møller

Hey Holden, any plans on doing Andor at somepoint? I think you and Jen would love it

Michael Husson

Same here

André Avelãs

i think you put these the wrong way around, episode 4 is available to me but 3 is locked
