Yeah. I was referencing a more modern context. Now a days if you set a phone down next to a magnetic compass of course it'll interfere no matter what aircraft. The more "solid-state" avionics in new aircraft very very rarely have issues.

The reason we have to put devices in airplane mode is that in the past (2011) some flight deck screens were susceptible to electromagnetic interference. The screens were responsible for things such as navigation. Nowadays, this has been mostly fixed due to extensive testing to include wifi in planes. It's been proven that most devices don't affect most planes. However, most is not all.

As a pilot. Holden is right about the phone. We only put our phones in airplane mode to conserve battery.

I think what is happening is that Mace agrees that something has to be done about the masters murder but he believes that the rules the Jedi and the Senate have put in place are there for a reason. So they should handle the matter through the proper established channel. If they went about it through the proper channels, the Senetator could have lived and less lifes could have been taken but it could of resulted in the Gaurds establishing a better cover up and the murder never being solved. Ultimately we saw in episode 2 from Dookus point of view what happens when action is not taken quickly, that lives can be ruined through negligence

The Gothic Design of Raxus Secundus (Planet featured in this episode) was actually based on the early Concept Art for Coruscant for the film Return of the Jedi. Coruscant was never featured in the final film but I do remember video games from the 1990s depicting Coruscant as this Gothic Mega City like something you'd find in the 40K seires up until The Phantom Menace where it took on a more Art Deco meets 1950s retrofuturism in the vein of Mega City One from the 2000AD comics. Who knows maybe there's parts of Coruscant that has a more Gothic look and feel. Raxus Secundus would also become the capital to the CIS so it seems that Cooku kept these people in mind after his interactions in this episode no doubt inspiring him even more into which Planets would fit the role of the capital.
