In today video we are going to go over cutting the passing lanes, explaining to you how I do it and when I do it. I would please kindly see the walkthrough, as it will contain more elaborate examples explaining what goes through my head and my reasoning, but this will explain how and when I use it. The key is cutting the passing lanes when you are in a defensive phase, when you are too far away to tackle the ball, and you can position yourself to almost limit your opponent options to pass.
I mainly use the running jockey as previously mentioned in the other tutorial, positioning is always the most important aspect, and I highlight some of the passing lanes, in combination with splitting the opposition by anticipating where the ball is going to be played, and thus ultimately forcing my opponent to pass either backwards or to another player that may not be in a dangerous or an advanced position!
If you do have any other questions, feel free to let me know on discord.
Main Aspects: Cutting the passing lanes, stopping the ball going to the attack, blocking space, running jockey, Anticipation, Positioning
