Zuko AND Illidan in the same episode. Gotta keep an ear out, VO is a very small community

Mattias Berg

I subscribed for rebels content. When will be the next post?

Franz

I'll say it again. If R2 is a Dog, C1-10Per is a cat

Matthew Juttner

Meh, it has nothing on S7 finale.

Kevin Zhang

Can't use the force to make tornadoes

Kevin Zhang

Based on the poll, the plan I believe is to do 'The Bad Batch' after finishing 'Rebels.'

Jacob Ember

If you ever want a small break from rebels, I highly recommend Bad Batch, it’s literally clone wars season 8

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned or if you’ve noticed. But the art style of Rebels leans HEAVILY on Ralph Mcquarrie’s original concept designs from the original trilogy.

Chris Moranec

I think it's mostly because the group is seen as theives more than an actual threat, so troopers act more like police officers than soldiers. But when the "blue guy" is in charge, it's something else ;)

André Dulac

Case and point “Holden and Jen”

Deadpool

I think Dooku is intimating when he is fighting and has a presence but him being a politician isn't explored enough to make him feel different from other Sith. Grevious is scary for kids and has a sick design but that's about it

Dawson

I mean they don't really feel intimidating in the movies either.

Christopher Struthers

Ye Grievous was awesome when I was younger but... he hasn't aged well 🤣. The grand Inquisitor goes above Dooku and Grevious for me but that isn't difficult

Dawson

Personally, the inquisitors (especially the Grand Inquisitor) seemed more threating to me, when they were hunting the protagonists. Unlike in Clone Wars, where Dooku and Grievous just most of the time tried to escape.

Darth Mornabin

probably because they knew some people wouldn't have watched Rebels let alone Clone Wars because there are Star Wars fans that I know of at least that hate the animation style of story telling in general so they've just point blank refused to watch it because of how it looks and not being live action.

My biggest issue with the show is how the empire doesn't feel intimating, I don't want characters to die or anything but compare it to the droids in Clone Wars. They are silly af but when needed they are an overwhelming force that can be intimating. By Empire I mean the foot soliders not the Inquisitor or Agent C

Dawson

Ralph McQuarries influence is a very underrated part of the show.

Rebels really is an underrated gem. If you’re liking season 1 so far then that’s a good sign, because it only gets better from there

What I love about this series is how it drew from Star Wars media at the time. For example Season 3 pulled heavily from elements introduced in Rogue One which released like 4 months before the Season. Of course there's no Sequel connections for timeline reasons but it's cool how Dave and the team pulled from Rogue One. Love the art style even if I'm not too big on the animation quality. The Art Style pulls heavily from Ralph McQuarrie's concept art and in my opinion has the most retro sci fi look out of any Star Wars project. Would love to see this done with a higher budget combine the Rebels art style with Disney Plus money would be amazing.

Jedi Mandalore (Dylan)

Did you know that the voice of The Inquisitor is none other than Jason Isaacs AKA Lucius Malfoy?

Povenmire

Fun fact: The prison tower that Luminara's body was in is the very same one where Maul was imprisoned at the beginning of Son of Dathomir

@joe Going to have to disagree with you there. 'Rebels' is an excellent show that pays tribute to what came before while also telling a really profound story about found family and what it means to be part of a rebellion. Saying that the animation is "trash" does not provide anything critical about the actual story/characters in regards to why you think that the show does not "hold a candle to clone wars." However, if that's what you want to critique, then let's discuss. I truthfully get it, the show had a lower budget and so the animation does not look like it does in the 'Clone Wars,' but it is nowhere near as bad as it could be. In fact, the more I watch 'Rebels,' the more I like the animation/art style. It's unique to the show and sets it apart from other animated Star Wars projects. However, with all of that being said, I'm happy that you can at least see that there are good episodes and moments in 'Rebels' even if you don't think it is as good as 'Clone Wars.'

Jacob Ember

Rebels doesnt hold a candle to clone wars. the animations is trash. However there are some really good moments and episodes

joe

I feel like this show not having arcs may make it more enjoyable to watch for you guys. I'm not necessarily saying that you'll end up liking the show more than Clone Wars (although that is a possibility). What I mean is that if you don't like a certain episode, it's not like you have to sit through three or four episodes of that story to see it play out. 'Rebels' definitely has a more traditional storytelling format in terms of episodic television, but I think that it works really well. I think what makes 'Rebels' great is something that I believe Jen mentioned which is the balancing of tone. You have lighter episodes and you have darker ones, and some are in-between, but it never gets to the point (in my opinion) where one massively overpowers the other. Although, I will say that the show definitely matures as it goes along. Anyways, I'm happy to see you guys continue your journey through the show.

Jacob Ember

I couldn‘t believe that the authors of the Kenobi-show even made a fake-out death for a character with plot armor. (Which is why I never thought the Grand Inquisitor was dead in the first place.) Therefore, the authors were literally trying to create fake tension and knew from the beginning it would lead to nowhere in the story.

Darth Mornabin

I don't know why people got all upset about that. Like I can't believe they actually thought they really killed him off.

Quinten Shibusawa

Not all inquisitors were padawans. Some, like the inquisitor from this episode who was the leader of the inquisitors were Jedi knights. One inquisitor from the comics was a Jedi master.

Jacob Plourde

Ok so earth & airbending

Deadpool

no. the force isnt controlling the air just the objects themselves.

PepsiMan

You guys are correct. That is the same inquisitor from 'Obi-Wan Kenobi.' He's the grand inquisitor to be exact. However, it should be noted that 'Rebels' takes place after the events of that show.

Jacob Ember

In a way, yes...

Dylan Brodie

Is “the force” technically air bending?

Deadpool

Let’s gooo
