You can tell very easily that Fassbinder's accent isn't German at all, to the point where even with someone vouching for him I would never believe he's a native German speaker. The other German speakers in the bar have the exact accents the officer points out, so well done to the actors for getting those down if they weren't their native ones

2022-05-15 23:00:35 +0000 UTCThis movie is a fantasy and a wish-fulfillment version of events. This does not mean that it isn't a sort of representation of actual events though. The terror and disgust about seemingly every day conversation is real and it seems to me, that this is the primary feeling that QT tries to provoke in certain scenes.
