True, comic accurate doesn't mean better. However, when people like Holden and many other Tobey fans claim that his portrayal is the most accurate, that's just objectively wrong.

2021-09-18 11:24:26 +0000 UTCI think some people feel that the more comic accurate the character is the better, which may be true in some cases but not all, on-screen iterations of a character could be perceived as the better version vs the comic book counter part.

2021-09-17 19:41:10 +0000 UTCI think a lot of ppl are so tied down by Tobey’s Spider-Man that they think his portrayal is “be all, end all” definite version of Spidey which just isn’t true at all lmao. Andrew is 100% my favorite but I think all 3 Spider-Men bring something amazing to the screen when playing the role and they should all be appreciated, rather than arguing and comparing the three. Andrew is definitely the most comic accurate but all 3 have qualities of different comic iterations of Spidey so they’re all comic accurate in their own way but I just believe Andrew is the MOST. Also, something I’m starting to notice is that ppl tend to nitpick the hell out of Andrew’s movies/portrayal but never do the same for Tobey.
