That’s interesting. I didn’t know that. Right or wrong it makes sense to me though. I don’t like Ron myself. Every time he was on screen I wanted him to go away.

Took me forever to get around to watching this. Sorry about that. Work got busy. While I wouldn’t consider myself a huge fan of Harry Potter I did enjoy the movies. I read the first book and only the first book back in school. There were a few things that were in the book that didn’t make it into the movie which bummed me out. Just like Jen, Hermione was my favorite female character back when I started the franchise. Without giving anything away my opinion on her changed in the last movie sadly. Normally I would’ve gotten somewhat offended that Jen compared Hagrid to my all-time favorite wrestler but seeing as how I like Hagrid I’m going to let it go. It’s actually funny enough to run with. Ron Weasley. Ugh. Even when I first saw this movie I couldn’t stand him. Just like with Tony Stark my hatred of Ron intensifies with each movie. Luckily though, Chamber of Secrets is next and we see my all-time favorite Harry Potter character in that movie!

I don’t really think they were being negative though, they stated they weren’t a fan of the series but hopes that Jen enjoys it and they’re excited for what’s next. Holden said as much at the beginning of this with how they have other stuff being released along with it knowing people aren’t fans of it.

This might be THE series for Jen. Everything she said she loves/likes so far only gets better. Then everything she "disliked" also only gets better. Really excited for this journey for Jen.

The Harry Potter and lord of the rings are my two least favorite franchises hope they enjoy it though not for me excited for what comes next

Jen will hate Snape for the sole reason of “why is he so mean?” Then by the 5th movie she’ll come to realise why. By the 8th movie he’ll be one of her favorites, if not most favorite. Her favorite movie will be the last and her least favorite will be either chamber of secrets or deathly hallows 1. Saying all of this before watching this reaction. Hope I’m in the ballpark of my predictions

I wanna go into the director of the movie for a moment where I heard Rowling wanted Chris Columbus to direct the movie for how much he had expressed to WB how much he loved and appreciated the book, also wanna go into Ron for a moment where some of Ron’s best moments from the books was given to Hermione kinda pushing Ron as someone who was just there, it kinda came to the point where Emma Watson and David Radcliffe were actually told to write an essay about what did Hermione and Harry learned at school except for Rupert Grint (Ron) where he wasn’t told to write anything mainly because Chris Columbus loved Hermione more and didn’t like Ron
