For me personally, superheroes have always been inspiring because they give you an image of someone you can look up to, an example to follow. I think I love Cap so much because of my faith honestly. I think there's a particular connection people of faith have with Cap when it comes to his ideals of doing the right thing, self sacrifice etc. Not to anger little light studios here but similarly to Jesus, Cap represents what i hope to be like. I loved when Jen asked if there is someone in Harry Potter without a nose lol. Also just wanted to mention I think reacting to the MCU again gives you a unique opportunity to show some small flash back clips to watching it with Matt, like when you mention that he also hated Captain America, could throw a quick few seconds showing him say something similar, just an idea :P

As someone posted above, I too think this is the weakest of the Captain America films, but I also think that the appreciation of it changes a lot after going through the rest of MCU. After seeing where Cap ends up, his character, it just sets the movie in a whole different light. Seeing Peggy, Bucky... so, I understand that the very first impression would be underwhelming. Can't wait to see the rest. For a moment I was expecting Jen to demand to see Avengers right away.

Love the conversation after and how excited Jen got for Avengers! Cant wait, hopefully winter soldier and civil war will change her mind but I think shes just going to love Loki more than anything in Avengers 😂

Cap ends up being my favorite Avenger, and I love a lot of the acting in this movie, but this is definitely the weakest Cap movie. The story drags through the Cap PR campaigns, and feels predictable at times. But I think it does a good job of establishing a baseline to build his character from.

-sigh- Not surprised. I feel the pain, Holden. Anytime someone tells me their favorite Avenger is Iron Man I’m like “oooookay.” Here’s the funny thing about Cap though. I was never early a fan of him in the comics. Granted, I mostly read DC growing up since I like those heroes more but once the MCU came out I made an effort to research the characters. I honestly didn’t start liking Cap until this movie. I don’t know why, I don’t know what it was but something about the way he was portrayed in the movies made me really like the character. I’m really hoping Jen is going to like Avengers but I’m fairly confident she will. Her reactions to most movies you’ve shown her have been different from Matt’s.

Just subscribed 2 days ago, can’t wait! Its really like reliving the first time I saw it, keep up the great work man!
