Black Panther
Added 2020-08-30 00:35:13 +0000 UTCStill cant believe Chadwick Boseman passed away. What one of your favorite moments from his career? Mine would have to be that scene in Civil War where he says "Vengeance has consumed you. It is consuming them, but I am done letting it consume me."

42 for me was his best role. I connect with him seeing him play Jackie. The first time I watched it I was dealing with racism and racial slurs that were taunted at me especially during sports. I didn't know the story of Jackie Robinson until that movie but that helped me when I got into a really dark place.

2020-08-30 17:04:59 +0000 UTCHave you seen him as James Brown, wow he was amazing, and of course Marshall and 42 and Black Panther is an absolute favorite. When he says “I did not yield and as you can see I am not dead”, so true, he didnt yield to his health struggled and he will live on in all his work and in the fans hearts for ever #RIPKING

2020-08-30 16:53:56 +0000 UTCFor me, as much as I'm not a fan of the movie, is when he confronted his father and his ancestors in the ancestral plain about how they have stunted their culture and had not been progressive. Then decided to make a change

2020-08-30 14:57:17 +0000 UTCRIP Chadwick - Mine would have to be the scene in 42 when Jackie (Chadwick Boseman) smashes his bat in the tunnel, and then the disscussion between him and Harrison Ford's character. I would absolutely love it if you guys watched 42 for the 'my friends watches series', in a celebration of Boseman's life and acting career. Plus seeing Matt's reaction to Black Panther this movie mean something to him too, and it would also again allow for some great and relevant discussion on the themes of the movies and how that relate to the issues people have today.
2020-08-30 06:27:39 +0000 UTCJust sad in every way. He was really good in anything he did. He was a great Black Panther/T'Challa. He was a great Jackie Robinson. A bright light extinguished too early.

2020-08-30 03:07:05 +0000 UTC"Vengeance has consumed you. It is consuming them. I am done letting it consume me." - agreed Holden. To me it’s one of the best lines and moments in the MCU. I also think for me it’s his entire performance in Civil War. I thought as a big Spider-Man fan it’d be him who stole the show but Boseman as Black Panther steals the movie every time I watch it. He brings that part to life as perfectly as Downey JR did for Ironman. RIP
2020-08-30 01:20:03 +0000 UTCI don't have a favorite moment, per se. I feel like we've been robbed of another wonderful person far too early; a marvelous versatile actor who could play police officers, famous athletes, and civil rights leaders as easily as a superhero; and to be able to all of this at the highest level while battling this devastating disease is nothing short of miraculous.
2020-08-30 01:09:43 +0000 UTCI don’t want to spoil it for those who haven’t seen it. But he has some great moments in ‘Da 5 Bloods’
2020-08-30 01:03:38 +0000 UTC"In my culture, death is not the end, it's more of a stepping of point"
2020-08-30 01:03:12 +0000 UTCBeing a baseball fan, his depiction of the great Jackie Robinson is my answer. It's hard to pick one scene as he was so proud of that role and it shows. With the late Tony Gwynn being my childhood hero, I completely understand the sorrow everyone is feeling. Please note that that in no way takes away from his iconic role of Black Panther. His talents and modesty will be missed.

2020-08-30 00:47:54 +0000 UTCThat is a great quote, but i think my favorite moment was the Wakanda charge in Infinity War, when him and Captain American run super freakin fast past the army and they jump in like the heros they are. Still not over this loss in the world, makes me wish i appreciated them more when they were alive. Rest in piece to a honorable, respectful, wonderful, and beautiful legend he was. Gone, but never forgotten. T'challa Forever!
2020-08-30 00:47:45 +0000 UTCThe post credit scene from blackpanther "We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe."

2020-08-30 00:45:35 +0000 UTCActually mine is a two parter. The scene where (HAWKEYE) tries to tell him his name and he says, "I don't care." Fast forward to Endgame and whether he cared or not, he remembered his name. It's an extremely subtle thing that shows something profound about the character.
