Let me start a second comment, because both Jenna and Tony deserve this to be a second comment. This movie is the beginning of the next phase, and they wanted to start it as they started the first with a complete jerk could learn how to be humble. I agree with Matt to a degree. It was a literal re-hash of the MCU phase one. " It werkd 4 Tony, do it agiiiin!!" But now we have better cgii......

Big deep breath: This is precisely what I expected. Though I did have some hopes. I absolutely knew Matt was not going to like this movie. I hoped he could Bygone Jim his way through it. Even that wasn't enough to save it for him. I respect that.

I had a feeling that Matt and Jenna were not going to like this one. while the other MCU movies had there fair share of suspension of disbelief required, they still were heavely rooted in the normal world to fairly large point. Dr. Strange however breaks that barrier between reality and fantasy to such a degree that it prevents people for being able to suspend there disbelief. I feel like that may become an issue with the later films.

Gotta agree with Matt on this one :P I think that they maybe just hit to hard on showing the character's arrogance in the beginning, so it made it harder to root for him later, unlike Tony who was arrogant, but still likeable. Great video as always though! :)

Nice! I get not liking Dr. Strange, although I disagree. It falls somewhere in the middle of the MCU films for me, because as you all said, he’s basically Tony Stark. I still really like the movie, but I can understand why it didn’t appeal to Matt and Jenna. Looking forward to the next one!

at the time the character of doctor strange of the mcu is not that like unlike today because some may say he does't have the charm of tony stark but when infinity war ended the surge of fans for doctor strange went sky rocket. Some characters maybe needed time for matt to understand and care about.

Loved the video! I know you and Matt have talked before about the dangers of being too “formulaic” with these videos, but I really do think you guys have got your stride. I thought this was one of the best videos to date. Loved the discussion as the end about the religious aspect. Also is was so awesome seeing my name in the credits for the first time! Haha Thanks so much!

I’m not really surprised that Matt didn’t like it but I am surprised that Jenna didn’t as well. I never saw Doctor Strange until after Infinity War. Doctor Strange in Infinity War made me go like “Wow, this character is really bad ass!” And Strange is my favorite character after that.
