a. Maybe Psycho was realised BEFORE Ed Gein started the murders/digging up bodies, so he got inspired by the film Psycho (like he got inspired by the comics)
b. I thought Hitchcock wanted to make a movie about Ed Gein (like a documentary), not just Psycho (yes, I am that slow)
Thankfully, I realised upon rewatching during editing LMAO
