Star Anise Chronicles: Escape from the Chamber of Despair

Well, this kinda got away from me and took four days rather than one, and still has a bunch of stuff I wish I'd been able to do to it, but such is interactive fiction I guess!

Anyway here's some interactive fiction, and the first Star Anise Chronicle to actually be released!  Enjoy!  I'll probably do source text for $4 folks or something in the near future.

(The web player seems to be afflicted by a bizarre Chrome bug that makes the text jump around while you're typing, sorry!  Looks harmless, but if it's annoying, try not-Chrome or download the story file and use a dedicated glulx player.)

Okay, fixed those two problems near immediately. 54/100. I still need name, another treasure and a customer. I don't know what the documents, figurine, pillow and blanket are for. UPDATE: 58/100! Now I need to figure out what to do with this twine. UPDATE: 59/100! Now I need to figure out the syntax for my customer. I'm so close to doing... something!! UPDATE: Winner! With 69/100 points, so I'm not even sure if I *want* to keep playing, haha. I don't have any other good ideas for what to try anyway. Thank you for devving!

I'm back again much later, and this time I've gotten to 47/100! I think I need to get a portable light source and figure out how to break the mug, among other more obvious goals related to the shop.

Patashu

You don't! You gotta pap them keys.

Managed to make 53/100, but stuck trying to operate The Machine. Can't figure out how to scan a model in.

I think I got stuck at 41/100, but can't find the big flat thing either.

Kaz Redclaw

Hahaha. Okay, 44/100 now.

Patashu

Up to 43/100! Still no shop progress.

In true IF fashion, I'm stuck at 32/100 points. I think I want to take the cardboard box, cut it up and use it as the surface for the shop, but I can't think of a verb to try and I don't even know if that's correct, but I couldn't find anything else that looks big and flat (and putting the blanket on the shop isn't considered helpful).
