it'd be a very patchy solution. Similar to owning a real reptile pet, it can result in burns and/or be a fire hazard. They're cheaper, sure, but not fully inexpensive and there *are* drawbacks.

What is so wrong with the heated blanket solution? I get they are not as elaborate and nice but they would provide the warmth, especially a pair of them, while I would assume being far more cost affordable. Then down the line Arh can upgrade to the nicer appliance solution.
