Subject 016: The Centaur Girl (Ea)

I was at the horse track betting on some horses and quickly losing all my money when, out of the blue, some idiot walked into me, knocking everything out of my hands. The guy didn’t even have the decency to stop and apologize.

I cursed him out, then bent over to collect my things. When I was sorting them as they had fallen and become a mess, I noticed something I’d never seen among my stuff. It was a small, bright red envelope.

Had that guy been a decent person, he wouldn’t have lost it, and seeing as he couldn’t bother to say sorry, i couldn’t be bothered to find him and give it back. So I opened it up to see what was inside, thinking it would be trash anyway and I’d be throwing it away.

To my surprise, it was a ticket to a cruise, which can only be redeemed by the person holding the ticket. I laugh like crazy; I may have lost most of the money I brought to gamble today, but with a free cruise, I was in the green.

After heading home and packing my bags, first thing the next morning, I was on my way. I arrived alongside several others, and before we were let on the ship, there seemed to be about twelve of us in total.

It seemed at first like we were being let on early, but it turned out that the twelve of us were the only guests on this cruise, which was awesome. After some time waiting, someone arrives to collect me and my things and bring me to my room.

My room had the number sixteen on it, and inside it was quite large. I guess with no other passengers, they could give us each one of the nice rooms they reserved for the very rich and powerful.

I head inside and lie right on the bed, telling the attendant who was bringing my stuff inside how nice it was. She laughed and said she hoped I continued to enjoy it while I was here. She then told me for safety reasons, I had to stay in my room until the ship took off.

I sigh and say that’s annoying, but I don’t want to get kicked off, so I tell her I’ll just take a nap. She thanks me for some reason and then leaves, and I do exactly as I said. I close my eyes and fall asleep in seconds.

At some point I started having a strange dream. I was at the racetrack, but instead of being in the stands cheering on the horse I bet on, I was on the track, standing next to horses and their jockeys, seemingly waiting to start a race.

I’ve never ridden a horse, nor have I ever stepped on the track before, so this was very out of the blue, but when I woke up, I figured I really needed this time away from the track to clear my head. Of course, waking up at a completely new racetrack instead of on a cruise ship really didn’t help.

I was questioning my sanity at that point. I was clearly at a horse track, and from the looks of the massive wooded area around it, I’d say it was a private track as well. I rubbed my head, wondering if I drank too much last night and imagined the whole cruise thing and someone walked here.

The thing is, though, I didn’t feel hung over, and had I gotten that drunk, I’d be hung over. So I don’t think it was a dream. I think I was really on a cruise ship, but then somehow I ended up here. Perhaps that cruise was too good to be true, and I’ve been kidnapped.

Perhaps they took some of my orgasms as well, or at the very least did some creepy things to me while I was out. Not having anything else to do, I start to walk around the horse track, looking for any sign of other people, or even the horses that live here.

I found no one, not even a horse. I did, however, find a nice horse stable filled with fresh water and tons of hay. I did have to drink the water out of a trough, but it looked clean so I wasn’t super worried. I then go and sit on some hay as I try to figure out what I’m going to do.

My only real choice was to get out of here. So using the ladders inside the stable, I head up as high as I can and look out the window. It was three stories tall, so I was able to see over most of the trees close to the racetrack, but there was still a problem.

The trees went on for a long time, and I couldn’t find any sign of civilization anywhere. I could see a mountain, several lakes, and even what looked to be the arctic. In the very distance, I could see some buildings that were small like the stable I was in, but there was no way I’d ever make it that far.

So it seemed like I was stuck until the owner of this place came and found me and hopefully helped me get out of her. So I just sat put for the day, not doing much, and after nearly twelve hours of boredom, I made a bed out of the hay and fell asleep.

My dreams once again brought me back to the horse track, where I was on the field. This time though, I was in the middle of the race and somehow on foot, I was able to keep up with the other horses.

Of course I wasn’t able to win, as all the other horses still had four legs, while I only had two since my back ones hadn’t come in yet. Despite that, though, I still had a blast; it was a rush running in the race, and I felt one with the wind as I went.

I ran in several races that night, and I almost won the last race, but I woke up before it ended. I sat up out of the hay and sighed. I looked down at my legs. Even though they were quite fit and my hooves were well taken care of, I still needed my other legs to come in. When that happened, I’d win for sure.

After waking up a bit more, I go get some water to drink, and while looking around for some food, I decide to ditch my pants and shirt, as they were really loose, and it wasn’t like I had anything down below to hide.

I did apparently have something to hide on my chest, but luckily I was wearing a sports bra to cover it up. I couldn’t remember when I put it on, but I was glad I did. After no luck finding food, I decided to go practice on the track.

As soon as I started running, I became super happy. Clearly racing was my calling; I was drawn to it, and I only felt alive when I was doing it. It was so fun that I could spend the entire day doing it, which was what I did.

I ran almost nonstop until my legs decided they were done. After a small break in the middle of the track, I slowly made my way back to my haystack. I was about to lie on it, but I realized it was quite strange that I brought it out in the middle of the stables, so I pulled it back into my area.

I then once again made it comfortable and hopped on top of it. Then, like I’ve always done, I was asleep in a matter of moments. I also once again found myself dreaming about racing at the track, and this time I had all my legs, and I was racing against centaurs.

I also happened to be the fastest among them. I won every single race, and the fans cheered my name, and I was given so many medals and nice treats for my hard work. It made me so happy, and when I woke up I was made even happier to find my back legs had finally appeared.

I was now a fully grown Centaur and that meant I’d now be able to race at full speed. Excited to try it out, I got up, fed on a bit of hay, drank some water, and made my way to the track. I set myself up and waited for the signal to start.

Once I saw the signal, I took off, and I was amazed at how much faster I was. I was five, maybe six times faster, and when I crossed the finish, my race time reflected that, and according to the leaderboard, I was currently the third fastest, but I was just getting started.

I wasn’t going to give up; I plan to train every day and make my way to becoming number one, and when that happens, I hope the other Centaurs, wherever they are around here, show up and challenge me, as I’m super excited for a real race.

That question about the main character is one I absolutely love, and I don't truly want to answer it because I think it's something the readers should choose for themselves. I will say, it's entirely possible with how sketchy the people behind this are that they could have intentionally dropped the ticket for our character to find. It's also possible that the person who dropped the ticket was supposed to be subject 016, and unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, lost their ticket when they bumped into our main character. As for the second question, I may answer that eventually. I think I'll do some parts this time around where the characters meet up. Since in this part they remain in this mysterious place instead of being shipped off to somewhere else.

I think that given the recent popularity of uma musume, the appearance of horse racing among one of your stories was quite expected, but still, I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of a centaur in this story, they appear too abruptly among similar stories (I think that this is mainly due to their specific anatomy, which is poorly compatible with humans, and if it is compatible, it is frowned upon (I hope you understand what I mean)) In general, I really enjoyed reading this story and I had several questions: firstly, was the hero of this story originally part of the experiment or was it an accident (that is, was he supposed to get a ticket for a cruise or did he really just accidentally pick it up) and secondly, I am very interested to know what she is actually capable of now after the changes? What is her maximum speed, how far can she gallop without resting at a moderate pace, and so on, after all, she is now as strong as a horse and as smart as a person!
