my little sister just finished her first time watching mha, and when i asked her who her favourite character is, she almost immediately said "ida", and that threw me for a loop momentarily bc you don't usually hear anyone saying ida is their favourite character. but honestly, i get it. while ida isn't my favourite character, i do deeply admire how caring and observant he is towards others, and how he can notice when his peers/ friends aren't in the best headspace and does what he can to help. he ain't the class rep for no reason! :D side note: shoji is my favourite "side character" in 1a. he's the true definition of a gentle giant. he's so soft spoken and kind and caring and i feel like he doesn't really get the credit he deserves. you learn more abt him in seasons to come, but the things you learn later only further solidified him as the best "side character" of 1a, ~in my personal opinion~. also, jor, the character whose name you've forgotten; hanta sero. hero name: cellophane! quirk: tape! :D his mask/ headgear looks like a tape dispenser, and "sero" sorta sounds like "cello", which is what helped me remember his name my first watch through :)

2025-05-14 04:42:38 +0000 UTCHey J & J, I noticed when Bakugo said "Just watch me Deku". You were like "Whats Deku got to do with this?" In Bakugo mind he is always competing with Deku. Like he said to All Might & Deku when he caught them talking in epi 7 "I've gotten stronger, so you better be keeping up" Bakugo could literally be number one and wouldn't matter unless he is beating Deku. Without Deku, there is no one in his mind as challenging. It's like Magic vs. Byrd. If they didn't have that rivalry to push them on or they weren't fighting eachother they wouldn't be able to surpass their limits making them #1. Make sense?
