2025-04-15 20:13:34 +0000 UTCI love that we're able to see how the after effects of the raid have impacted each of the students that were involved. The raid itself actually only took place over the course of 45 minutes (started at 8:30am, ended at 9:15am). It can be hard to process how quick the whole thing was when you watch the anime, as it spreads over multiple episodes and they show you things happening one after the other, when they would actually all be happening at the same time. So much happened to the students that, even though technically they saw their classmates just the day prior, it felt like it had been much longer since then. And to add onto that, all the time they had to wait beforehand with the set up for the raid and then the paperwork and things that come afterwards. It's all parts of being a hero that they can't really be taught in a classroom and have to learn from hands on experience.

For me, if it comes to an athletic perspective, I couldn't help to relate the initial emotions possibly being more similar to like a Derrick Rose story. Especially when there is a young talent that has worked so hard to get his career to a status of becoming one of the next top stars, and then that career gets cut short due to his injury. That experience would hurt emotionally and psychologically just how Mirio is now quirkless. It may seem his dreams of being a hero will be a hard path to return to considering that. There would be so much to look forward to the potential of what COULD have been in an athlete who couldn't be the same after a huge injury. But what is inspiring is how they choose to bounce back from it. D Rose was one of the peoples champ in how he continued to do his best to continue playing despite the setbacks so in that way, there is that relation to how Mirio is taking his positive approach to what has just happened to him. What a great model for that!
