2025-04-16 20:14:49 +0000 UTCAn update on the ranking of arcs. The first part of season 4 is the best arc for me so far. The hoghlights will be on the response if you need quick reminder. 1. Season 4 part 1. Shie Hassaikai arc. 2. Season 3 part 1. The kidnapping of bakugo. 3. Season 2 part 1. The sports festival. 4. Season 1. Going to UA. 5. Season 3 part 2. Pro hero license arc. 6. Season 2 part 2. The hero killer, students vs teachers. Why top 1? First, the quirks. Nighteye, Eri and Chisaki made it into my top quirks. Amazing interesting and powerful quirks. Second, the villain. Chisaki is my favourite villain, his quirk, his motives and how disgusting is what he was doing to Eri, idk but torturing a little child is way darker than whatever they show about shiggy and afo. After some good buildup, the fights were propper fights, with backstory and development. I relate to amajiki, I got inspired by Kirishima and I was destroyed in emotions with Mirio. Those selfish acts I put on par with Erwin and Armin moments. Allmight vs AFO is still the best fight, but as a season, that may be a separate story and doesnt have more relevance in the future, it tells a story on its own, that for me is simply amazing.

2025-04-16 20:14:33 +0000 UTCThe fact that Overhaul loses his quirk for not having his hands is bs for me. He is a grown man with plenty of time to develop the quirk, he should be able to use it from all his body. Damn I cried hard with Nighteyes death.

2025-04-16 19:50:46 +0000 UTCI'm not gonna lie, I genuinely felt really bad for Overhaul. As horrible of a person that he is, they took away both of his arms and left him quirkless. And now he can't use his quirk to heal his adoptive father... Not sure if Eri would be able to heal her grandfather with her quirk when she learns to use it, but I hope he will be able to come out of his coma.

2025-04-16 05:37:57 +0000 UTCthere are a handful of anime deaths that will never sit right with me and will make me ugly sob every time. sir nighteye is one of them. rip sir 💚 additionally, this episode solidified shigaraki as my favourite anime villain ever. the sheer level of savagery that one must achieve to do what he did is astounding. man stole one of chisaki's arms and gave it to compress, and then decayed his other arm and then sliced it off before the decay spread through his entire body, leaving chisaki quirkless and defenseless. i know he didn't do it as revenge for what chisaki did to eri, but my respect for shigaraki shot through the roof in this episode cause he gave chisaki EXACTLY what he deserved. i have many other reasons why shigaraki is my favourite anime villain that i can't talk about yet, but this? yeah.

2025-04-13 19:46:00 +0000 UTCthis episode was so unexpected for me when i first saw it, like y’all i kind of assumed it would be a close call but nighteye would pull through. it’s wonderfully executed and just heartbreaking, but also a turning point for the rest of the show. yall ain’t ready for the upcoming seasons 😔

The end scene reminds me of this old song "Smile" by Jimmy Durante. Check out those lyrics. Seriously perfect fit. J2 do u do your rewatch in dub? Only reason I ask is because I feel & see a difference in wording from the VA's that IMO adds an additional level of emotion. Don't get me wrong both sub&dub VAs are ahhmazing. Just thoughts. Ooo!
