2025-04-29 21:44:51 +0000 UTCI am seeing this a little late but now that they explained the quirk i can add Eri to my top quirk list. To touch something and rewind it in time. Before even saying the points I would like to highlight that if she rewinds herself she is basically inmortal. Offense: pretty straight forward, she touches you and you dead just like she did her dad. Since she can rewind, and then rewind before the rewind, she could change the age she looks like when she grows up, so that would be great for infiltration or disguise. Defense: pretty much the same for close combat but weak against range attacks. depending on the attack maybe she touch it and rewind the thing to nothingness, but that is uncertain. I would add to this that she is also a healer, as she did with deku so if she rewindw herself she can heal too. Filthy rich: the most profitable application may be destroying the cosmetic industry, people would pay millions to be young again. She could also heal almost every desease, repair any damage, restore ancient monuments. She is literally a blessing in every application I think about, and all of them are profitable. Top quirks: 1. Overhaul, Chisaki 2. AFO 3. Rewind, Eri 4. Anivoice, Kota (If he can control humans) 5. Creation, Momo. 6. Foresight, Nighteye

Love you guys and missed you guys so much! 💕 As always, I'm here with information absolutely no one asked for... 😂💕 The scene where Deku realizes for the first time what Eri's Quirk is, he tells her that her Quirk is such a "blessing." However, if you translate what Deku said in Japanese more literally, he's telling her that her Quirk is such a "kind" Quirk. I understand "blessing" works better in English because Eri has been told all her life that her Quirk is a "curse," and the opposite of "curse" is "blessing." It's good writing and all, but him saying that her Quirk is "such a kind Quirk" has a different undertone from "your Quirk is such a blessing"; I think the former says a lot about Deku's character. I think it's so, so, so lovely that he calls it a "kind" Quirk, specifically because it's him softening his vocabulary on purpose, as he is talking to a child. Kids don't necessarily understand a loaded word like "blessing," so he's using a simpler and sweeter word like "kind" to let Eri know that her Quirk is a "good thing"-- in a way that she could understand with her young brain. I believe this phrase was intentionally used to depict Deku as a considerate person who had Eri's age in mind when he was telling her this. So while "blessing" definitely isn't a wrong translation, I think it lacks the flavor the author intended of depicting Deku as a thoughtful person. The author definitely could have very well used the word "blessing" in Japanese, but instead, he chose the word "kind" specifically because it's Deku being considerate and thoughtful while speaking to a child. In any case, Eri is indeed such a blessing!!! 🥺💕

A clear representative of the ultimate capitalist drive taken to one of its darkest possible extremes, Overhaul had a master plan to birth an entire market by creating both the problem and the solution. With a raging god complex, the desire for total control and to 'fix' society according to his vision was all intended to be built at the expense of a sweet innocent girl he never bothered to consider, Eri. Again showing us that even in a world full of crazy quirks, people still find ways to exploit others. Ironic that the guy who hates quirks has his entire plan rely on using very special ones like his own and hers. Cool that you guys shared that real-world parallel about the controversy surrounding entities connected to both pushing opioids and also profiting from overdose treatments. I know someone brought up before how quirks might shape personality in this world. For Overhaul, his power to disassemble and 'fix' things seems deeply connected to his obsession with 'curing' everything he perceives 'sick' or 'broken' like the hero system, his boss's traditional mindset, the Yakuza's lost status etc. Seeing your genuine disgust and horror as his full plan was revealed really resonated. That cold, calculated, 'win at all costs' mentality Overhaul embodies is chilling and effective yet profoundly toxic. Great reaction like always!

The most OP quirk, but not only that she can also advance evolution and create new mutations, a truly terrifying power. Edit: on a more positive note and I'm not an expert or anything but Eri's quirk could also be used to remove several harmful mutations or genetic diseases in human DNA maybe even cancer?... Who knows, everything has a dark and a light side to it and depending on how it's used it could be both a blessing or a curse. Amazing reaction as always J&J ❤️
