2025-03-28 18:14:38 +0000 UTCyesss this ep is the reason i decided to watch mha w yall. im not a big fan of the series, so i thought imma just finish up their aot reactions and unsubscribe from patreon, but i was like ykw its been a min since i watched mha so lemme stick around for a few episodes. and as yall kept watching, i kept remembering why bakugo was my fav character in the show before i dropped it (which was around beginning of s5 i think). then i remembered this episode and watched it on my own and i was like omg now i have to watch their reaction to it i already rlly liked bakugo before this bc to me it was obvious there was so much more to him than simply being a bully and i loveeee complex characters. but this ep solidified him as my fav. i think it rlly emphasizes how young they truly are, only 15 years old and dealing w constant stress and traumatic battles from real villains. and even tho they're strong, they're still just kids. plus bakugo's voice actor, nobuhiko okamoto, does an amazingggg job here making bakugo's voice sound very vulnerable and emotional in a way we've never heard before. idk it was a 10/10 for me truly

2025-03-26 05:47:15 +0000 UTCMan… Midoriya calls Bakugo “the incarnation of victory”. It goes beyond saying he’s a winner - the phrase claims that the concept of winning IS Bakugo. Everything about him embodies winning. If that isn’t the ultimate affirmation that Bakugo is great in Midoriya’s eyes, I don’t know what is. There are certainly people like this in my life, and in the lives of many others, that are silently admired. It’s actually through anime like MHA and others that I’ve learned that working hard to improve and overcome personal weaknesses is the way forward to win like those people, even if it feels like achieving that degree of greatness is out of reach. Side Note: It must be a complicated feeling to be in awe of your rival, hate how they’ve treated you AND desire to develop a closer bond all at the same time.

Just wanted to appreciate the voice acting of both characters for this ep. because it really showed how much emotion they build up and it felt great but also somehow heartbreaking,seeing them open up to eachother,knowing they probably needed it. Bakugo often seems to be a misunderstood and judged character for always being so mad and full of anger though,I think this episode shows otherwise and I must say I‘m really excited and curious how you guys will react throughout the series,analysing and watching every step Deku and Bakugo do. I think every character individually makes great improvements but imo,Bakugo‘s one of the few characters in which I see the most character developments.

2025-03-25 22:51:27 +0000 UTCIT’S HERE 😭😭 oh my god i’ve been waiting for this, this episode is so special to me because bakugo and deku just have the best bond of the whole show in my opinion. not to diss on other characters but really no one even comes close to the investment and complexity of their relationship, i’m really excited for you guys to see them grow. however you want to look at it, they seem like soulmates to me. they’re complete opposites in personality and even design (spiky and soft lol) but no one else can challenge them like each other, bakugo was only able to vent and open up to deku and vice versa deku was only able to tell bakugo the truth out of everyone. all might even saying they could be the greatest heroes together because their ideals are two halves of a whole. they needed this fight so badly to move forward both as heroes and in their relationship with each other. wonder duo fr

2025-03-25 20:02:47 +0000 UTCugh be still my heart 💓 one of the best deku x bakugo moments imo. i can't think of a better person to learn deku and all mights secret. bakugo may be a hot head but he's trustworthy. and the level of immediate understanding deku gave when bakugo started talking and how he immediately recognized "oh. kacchan needs this because this is all he knows", and indulged him. the first time i watched this series, i wanted to hate bakugo so badly because he initially came off as a dickhead, but the more i watched and saw his character development and understood his reasonings behind things, i couldn't deny how much i just adore him. horikoshi is so masterful at creating such complex characters.

The aggressive and feral bakugo, *forced* to face reality and just scream his emotions out at the one person that understands him, even though he doesn't want to open up. The whole time during this exam, Horikoshi writes bakugo extra aggressive, so much so that it causes him to fail. And now, this moment we get to see why. This was *consuming* him. Eating him Alive. The confusion, anguish, and desperation in his voice and in his words shows a boy that's so full of anger and doesn't know why. A boy thats consumed by rage because he doesn't feel good enough. Carrying so much guilt, thinking hes the reason that his *idol* cant be himself anymore. A kid who doesnt feel worthy, so he takes it out on other people to cope. so he turned to fighting to vent his emotions. a moment where he doesn't have focus on his emotional turmoil. I'll say it again, what brilliant writing. When katsuki bakugo just cries, saying "but now you know. I'm weak too" I cry every single time As far as relating to bakugo, for me, I more so am inspired by Him and his confidence. (Not to bully people) but to be himself 100%. I've always felt I didn't have a voice. Another reason I love your reactions. I have a voice here.

2025-03-25 19:51:48 +0000 UTCThis is my FAVORITE episode of MHA, honestly, we finally get to know how bakugo is feeling, and it hurts to know that he blames himself for all might’s retirement. Even if he is so abrasive and over-confident, deep down he thinks that he’s weak. He thought that deku was looking down on him because even tho deku was quirkless, he was still aiming to be a hero, and bakugou, who had a quirk interpreted that like deku was mocking him, and saying that he can be a hero without a quirk, therefore looking down on him. Bakugou was always ahead of deku, so when deku caught up, it scared him, making him vulnerable. Now that they have talked through about this with all might, he now thinks about deku like someone to compete with, to get better and stronger than deku, who’s now a rival, and deku thinks the same. “You’re an amazing person, much closer to me than all might” that line really made me think of how much deku looks up to bakugo. He looks up to bakugo more than all might and we know how much deku looks up to all might. Bakugo is the image of victory in dekus eyes. I will never forget that. This episode really showed the character development of those two, and it made me really happy to see that.
