On one hand I understand people underestimating him and thinking his brash temperament will lead him to make mistakes and rush in without thinking but on the other hand I don’t understand the underestimating…because how many times does he have to prove he’s one of the smartest in the room? I know that characters like him who are more aggressive and/or rush into combat are usually depicted as idiots who just like to fight but what makes his character so cool is he is ALWAYS thinking and often a few steps ahead of everyone. I love that about him and it really sets him apart. This episode absolutely sealed the deal on his character the first time I watched and I pretty much locked in that he was my favorite character right then and there and it hasn’t changed since then.

2025-03-25 04:32:40 +0000 UTCAlthough he doesn’t always show it Bakugou can actually be pretty smart and analytical. I feel like due to his temperament people often overlook this side of him. Remember he was ranked 3rd in the class for the written portion of midterms (Deku was 4th). It is not surprising that he was able to figure out Deku got his quirk from All Might, especially since Midoriya earlier in the show revealed that someone gave him his quirk. I do think though Bakugou would not be able to piece it together if he had not been captured and met All for One.
