Demon Slayer - 1x24 REACTION!!

Zenitsu turned into Mineta (from MHA) in this episode...iykyk 🤣 but in all seriousness, that ending scene with Shinobu and Tanjiro was SOOOOO raw and powerful! 👏🏼

Demon Slayer - 1x24 REACTION!!

Comments

"What does she mean she can rest easy" that whole conversation just went clear over Jared's head.

shinobu is super relatable to me. while my sister wasn't killed by a literal demon, i did lose my little sister almost 4 years ago to an overdose, which kind of is its own demon. i am very introverted and quiet, while my sister emily was the exact opposite; loud, life of the party, extroverted, could make friends with anyone. since she's passed, often times, i find myself thinking "how would emily handle this?" or "what would emily do in this situation?" when i find myself struggling to be more social. it has helped a lot thinking that way. so when shinobu talks about trying to adopt her sisters' kindness and sympathy, i relate really hard, because i too, want to be more like a bright soul i lost. rip emily 💕

New Patreon member here. Just saw your reactions on YouTube and really enjoyed your dedication and interest in different shows. My favorite anime is AOT, so when my friend recommended Demon Slayer, I was very biased, especially when I saw those goofy moments with Zenitsu and Tanjiro sometimes. But who would have thought that this exact anime would make me cry like a baby? I am talking about the movie, which you’re going to watch soon. Also, I remember people hyping up the animation, but the thing is, you haven’t even seen half of its potential. I mention that because in Season 2, you will be able to witness what is widely considered the greatest anime fight of all time. So overall, very excited for you. Keep up the good work and enjoy the ride. <3

the thing about inosuke in these episodes is that he wasn't “depressed” because he lost the fight against spider father and had to be rescued. i think it was because of a realization that came to his mind after that happened. he's always been about his strength and capability. when we first met him, he was a competitive person that almost everything he sees other people do, he'd always want to prove that he could do it too (i.e. tanjiro's headbutt, burying bodies, or when he saw giyu slice spider father easily like a tofu😂). but after losing the fight against the spider dad, he came to a realization that he wasn't as strong or as capable as he thought he was. that's why he kept saying “i'm sorry for being weak” when he was on the hospital bed. and i think it's a beautiful thing to see; it's subtle but it shows that he is becoming open to growth and learning instead of seeing things as just a competition. it's a small step, but it's still a sign of growth. at least, that's the way i see it.☺️ ps. i didn't expect for my comment to actually be featured in the latest uploads. thank you so much for that.💜 also, yes, i've been your YT subscriber since your first reaction to BTS (i'm an ARMY) more than 2 years ago. not sure if it's exactly 3 years now but that was in 2022. so yes, around 2 to 3 years.💜 anyway, i am excited for the next arcs. things are about to get so hyped! i hope you're both doing well! thank you for the lovely contents, as always.💜

everyone else has said it but yeah i definitely recommend watching mugen train in the movie format rather than the episodes on crunchyroll, just flows so much better

Only 2 episodes left until the movie Mugen Train!!! I forgot this episode showed my GOAT Rengoku about to head out on his mission *hint hint*. He is my favorite hashira, although they're all pretty damn epic 🔥 Also FYI, the movie follows immediately after S1. They just decided to make it into a movie, which is quite rare. Demon Slayer and JJK are the only 2 animes I know of who made manga canon movies. (Well, CSM now too once it comes out.) They did eventually release the movie in episode format but most agree that the movie is the way to watch it. Only episode 1 of the episode format is worth the watch as it is not in the movie. I'd recommend it AFTER the movie though. Just hits harder imo. And yes, Mugen Train holds the record as the all time highest grossing film in Japan, as well as being the first non american production to be the #1 grossing film of the year in 2020 💯

One more week and S1 is over.. I'm happy that you enjoying DS I LOVE this anime so much it will keep getting better and crazier from now on. Next is the MOVIE I watched it in theater it's pure master-piece. Have a good week ... LETS GOOO

I'm so excited for yall to see what's coming next! I'm sure others have said it too but I'll add the movie is awesome! They did re-release the movie into episodes for season 2 but I think it's a better experience watching it as a movie all at once instead of broken up episodes. It's important to note season 2 episode 1 is not part of the movie! You can watch it either before or after the movie. I think most people say before. Idk maybe you could make a poll for that? Either way you don't wanna miss it

To answer your question on seppuku, it is a part of bushido (samurai culture). Mikage goes more into detail about it in her comment. It’s more or less still in practice in some form (CW: see high suicide rates in Japan and culturally sanctioned suicide). The last official recorded seppuku was in 1970. A famous novelist named, Yukio Mishima, led a failed coup d'état against the Japanese government along with a political activist named Masakastu Morita. They both atoned via seppuku. On a less depressing note, I guess you can say that Kanao is an honorary Hashira haha! Tsuguko, like Kanao are trained with the intention of taking their Hashira’s place should anything happen to them or go on and become their own Hashira. A couple of the current Hashira even started out as Tsuguko!

My interest in Shinobu spiked on episode 19, where she fought one of the spider demons. After watching this episode, she’s cemented herself as my favorite character. Close second is one of the Hashira that you two don’t know much about yet 😉
