2025-03-19 13:05:32 +0000 UTCbjarne explained it really well! ive noticed that even in anime series' labeled as "romance", it gets harder and harder to find a couple that is canonized and/or is loving and healthy! that said, i've been thinking this for a while but i would LOVE to see y'all react to horimiya. it's a slice of life/romance anime and it is honestly a breath of fresh air. the animation is so bright and crisp and it's a very wholesome sweet series, i think you two would love it!!

2025-03-19 06:31:02 +0000 UTCabout the romance thing in anime: i havent watched more anime than you guys so i am not an expert but i noticed too that relationships are really uncommon. even when there is a perfect pair that feels like they were written to be a couple like eren and mikasa there is rarely more than teasing. my guess is that it is made this way to keep a majority of the viewers as happy as possibile. when it comes to these things people have really strong feelings about which characters could go together and which shouldnt and with introducing an actual relationship there is a high possibility that you could actually lose viewers over that. my guess comes from the legend of zelda tears of the kingdom (not anime, but a video game from japan) where it is pretty much the same situation. link and zeldas relationship is teased an hinted at soooo much but nintendo never confirmed anything. most likely to not make anyone angry who thinks link should be with another character or with nobody at all. like it really shouldnt be a big deal to normal people but many get so worked up over these things that the creators of these stories just wanna stay safe. another reason could be similarly to kpop: maybe you want your main characters to be single so the viewer can imagine themselves with them just like idols are not allowed to have relationships, at least not publicly.

2025-03-16 03:25:46 +0000 UTCWhile Class A is at a disadvantage with people knowing their quirks along with their strengths and weaknesses, I feel like the downfall or success of some schools will be based on how closed or open-minded they are about their expectations of UA. Because yes, they got to see UA's students on TV, but that was a few months ago, and just like these schools have been training and getting better, so have UA students. The black haired guy saying that Deku's quirk is like a superpower that also destroys him is outdated information. Deku now knows how to better control his quirk and has also changed up his fighting style. I think the schools that approach UA knowing that they have improved and have tricks up their sleeves will be much more effective and more likely to pass. I am also wondering if there will be people who take Class B's approach during the cavalry event at the sports festival and gang up on the other schools who are way too focused on UA.
