2025-02-25 20:40:38 +0000 UTCgiran's name is pronounced "gear-in". he's a broker. this is one of many episodes that makes my eyeballs sweat. fantastic job at displaying both bakugo and deku's characters as people. all might broke bakugo's gauntlets and bakugo explained that he doesn't need the gauntlets to use his quirk, they just minimize strain on his arms when using his quirk. then bakugo said something to the effect of "ridiculous to think i'd be able to beat you without taking any risks", referring to risking his arms. think of them as arm braces of sorts. all might broke the gauntlets, so bakugo decided the best course of action was to give 100% without them, thus, damaging his arms to buy time. the gaunlets also store up sweat to make for huge blasts as seen in season 1 in the combat training.

2025-02-25 20:39:24 +0000 UTCWhat I love about both Deku and Bakugo is they are both strong heroes in their own right...Bakugo is the kind of hero that will never give up or let the villains win even if it means sacrificing himself...think about having someone like that on your team and add immense power and combative strategy and the ability to think quickly on your feet and you have someone you can count on to protect you. I don't know about you, but if I were up against a villain and Bakugo showed up to save me...I would feel relieved having him there. With Deku you have someone you can believe in and trust that they will give their all and their own life to save you which would also put you at ease. Both are amazing heroes-to-be but also have totally different mindsets. Side note: thats another reason I believe Deku was so upset when Bakugo seemed shaken and was willing to give up and lose...he was letting his stubbornness distract him from his true essence and the reason he wanted to be a hero in the first place...to be like "All Might" a hero who never loses or gives up...same as how Deku see's "All Might" as a hero who is always sacrificing and saving people. Look at the parellel's in the videos they watch when they are both idolizing All Might. One see's him saving people, the other see's him kicking ass. People often talk about how "Hajime Isayama" is a genius for writing AOT (which he is) but I think we could do a better job of recognizing that "Horikoshi" is too for the way MHA is written...so brilliant and this is only season 2!

I was also stating that it's misguided but without stating every facet in itself But at this point in the story, this is what's important to remember. That doesn't mean that's all there is to it. I've basically written an entire thesis about this for a YT video because katsuki is a very multi dimensional character so I doubt I could cram it all in a comment lol

2025-02-25 01:23:27 +0000 UTCive always felt like the story does a great job at explaining that neither of their admiration is wrong. katsuki is just slightly misguided in his interpretation of all mights victory, but it’s still a big part of all might. “i am here” wouldn’t be such a relief to hear if everyone wasn’t sure he would automatically “win” when he gets on the scene.

Many other shonen’s condense training to the usual 2-3 episode “training arc” and move on. MHA’s consistent showcasing of the training with multiple episodes and several arcs really makes the characters feel realistic in their power progression.

Both characters hold a profound admiration for him, yet the motivations behind that admiration differ significantly. While Deku's reverence *fuels* his aspirations, but for Bakugo, it has become a *constraint* and one that is intrinsically linked to his relentless pursuit of victory. It's crucial to recognize that Bakugos constant mindset that we've seen of "its not a real win unless i do it by myself" stems from his misunderstanding of All Might. He perceives All Might's ability to take on groups of villains single-handedly as a rejection of teamwork. In reality, All Might's extraordinary strength allows him to operate independently, but he is always open to collaboration when the situation calls for it

2025-02-24 22:47:33 +0000 UTCLove that All might deduce why Bakugo is fighting hastily and its due to Izuku's fast progress. He explains that a Level 50 can't improve as much as a Level 1. Deku is still using jus 5% of his power (full cowling). Imagine if its at 100%!! Crazyyyy
