Hi J&J! Thank you for your wonderful reaction like always!
I just want to clarify one thing about their names :)
In this episode, you were wondering about where Koda's name came from.
Horikoshi has a amazing naming sense for each and every character I want to explain them all if I could. lol
Okay, so Koda's name has meanings in Japanese.
"Koda" is his family name and it is written "口田" in Kangi.
The sound "Koda" is quite popular in Japan itself, but the Kanji Horikoshi used for him is very unique.
(In most cases, the kanji used are fixed, but depending on how they are read, they can be combined as desired in creative writing, called "ateji".)
Koda's "Ko" means "mouth"
Koda's "da" means "rice field" but also means "something so many".
So Horikoshi wanted to make his name related to his speaking quirk I think.
Of cause, Horikoshi LOVES movie references so your thought might not
be wrong either.
It might be one of the reason why it is read "Koda" in the first place :)
If there are any other names you want to hear the meanings, I'd love to explain them so feel free to ask.
Horikoshi is a bundle of sense! XD
That's all for now :) Thank you always!
Take care and have fun!

Mineta is super obnoxious and he will continue to be for a while but I believe the writer got sick of his jokes after a while and made Mineta less annoying in later seasons. His youth isn't really an excuse cuz all his fellow classmates find him obnoxious too so it's just annoying lol. His quirk is a good quirk though so he has potential.

I can't tell if Mineta's design is supposed to look like a baby in a diaper or a hard-boiled egg.

Amazing Explanation here!👍❤️
It really helps in understanding their dynamic and proves HOW much Attention Aizawa pays to his Students.
This was not him just saying "Get along, problem children".
Thank you for putting in the details for J&J❤️🔥

Hey j&j, thought I'd post this for you guys to help you understand what perspectives bakugo & deku are going into the exam with. I figure you'll read right before or after episode 24 so hopefully this can help you understand the two boys mindsets
As we can see, the dynamic between Bakugo & Deku presents significant challenges for them in the exam. Bakugo's deep seated animosity to Deku constantly clouds his judgment, leading him to react with intense anger, both physically and emotionally. This is demonstrated by bakugo preferring to not prepare before the exam with deku, going forward by himself rather than acknowledging Deku’s progress. Obviously, ths contrasts with his core identity, which is driven by an Intense desire to win.
Now for deku, when it comes to bakugo, deku finds himself stripped of the *confidence* he had cultivated after receiving recognition from All Might amd working so hard to improve his control over his quirk. This results in him often losing sight of his self-assurance which prevents him from approaching Bakugo in any new or constructive manner. On the other hand, Bakugos aggressiveness is a defense mechanism due to his insecurity and Inferiority complex
Essentially, Aizawa is challenging their capacity for communication by forcing them to engage with the person they struggle with the most. themselves.
Additionally, their relationship with All Might plays a crucial role in their development within the story. Both characters hold a profound admiration for him, yet the motivations behind that admiration differ significantly. While Deku's reverence *fuels* his aspirations, but for Bakugo, it has become a *constraint* and one that is intrinsically linked to his relentless pursuit of victory.
Going into epidose 24, It's crucial to recognize that Bakugos constant mindset that we've seen of "its not a real win unless i do it by myself" stems from his misunderstanding of All Might. He perceives All Might's ability to take on groups of villains single-handedly as a rejection of teamwork. In reality, All Might's extraordinary strength allows him to operate independently, but he is always open to collaboration when the situation calls for it.
Thanks as always j&j. And thanks mod if you choose this 🙏🏼♥️

I like that, when we get the explanation of Present Mic's quirk, it's Aizawa doing the explanation. Usually every other time we get this tidbit of information about another character, it's Present Mic doing the voice over. Just a fun little detail!
