This episode felt like our first real descent into the dark, twisted underworld of MHA 😫 The stakes feel higher than ever. And who is this seemingly innocent yet eerily sinister girl? 🧐

I enjoy a lot how they explain the Stain ideology the same episode they enphasize the hero in Momo´s internship doing a commercial. I know heroes need to get the bread somehow but really it looks like some of them capitalize in the fame being a hero gives to earn extra money, that is why they are fake. Their core isnt in saving people but oher stuff, and it makes a lot of sense Stain realized this on high school because he probably saw how all his class mates aspire to be heroes for reasons other than saving, I mean even class 1A of UA isnt safe from this, lets check some non-purely-heroic motivations:
- Mineta: wants to be a hero to pull girls
- Uraraka: wants to be a hero to make the bread and retire their parents
- Iida: wants to be a hero due to admiration of his brother and familly influence.
- Todoroki until very recently was aspiring to be a hero to prove something to his dad
- Bakugo wants to be number one but it is a power-based motivation, he just likes to run the ones and struggle a lot in rescuing operations, the core function of a hero.
And this is because we dont know what moves all of UA students but Stain had a point here, only Deku and nowadays Todoroki had shown a correct hero mentality. Lets check the pros wrong ways:
- Endeavor: an obsession to suprass Allmight in power, the guy alredy solves more incidents than allmight but what moves him is being more powerful than him in terms of strenght.
- Mt Lady: in the first episode when she debuted we saw how she "stole the show" from kamui while he alredy had the villain just to stand out and get more attention
- The hero in the comercial (dont even know her name), alredy spoke on her.
- Ingenium: his first motivation to be a hero is familly influence too, the Iida familly capitalize a lot from being heroes, that is why they callled "a battle of elites" when Iida faced Todoroki in the tournament, I can see why he got targetted.
For me Stain had a point but if being a hero didnt have a compensation villans would thrive so I think is something necessary, still I totally get him.

Hi J&J! Thank you for your wonderful reaction and discussion like always!
Since you showed some comments about how wonderful your reactions are, I thought I have to tell you my feelings too!
I was with you on your journey in AOT and since then I loved your open-minded perspective for all the elements in those anime.
And to tell you the truth, few episodes ago, I was so happy when you said "Shout out to Monoma" because he is my favorite character in MHA.
But you know, he acts so annoying and not much people/reactor get how he uses he's brain and does he's best in his own way. (With he's quirk, he cannot push through like Bakugo or Todoroki with just power, so he thought of the best way to win in his own way!)
This is just one example, but you won't know how I thanked you in that episode.
(The reason why I didn't comment this in that episode, is because I wanted to wait until my favorite scene of Monoma in the future! But now, since I saw everyone's comment about how your reactions are great, I couldn't hold it back! haha)
You where the only one reactor I wanted to follow in real time and that's why I'm here! ;)
Love you so much and appreciate you sharing your wonderful experience.
You really take character's feelings and personality seriously and keep trying to understand them, and that makes me so comfortable to watch.
I didn't know how to tell you, but I was an abused wife myself, so it is really hard for me to watch someone use strong words or make offensive reactions.
In that point, you are always kind and gentle, I think that is why I like your conversation so much. :)
Oh, don't worry, I'm single mother already from 10 years ago, although I'm still suffering from what I got mentally from my ex.(I have bad flash backs still can't even work yet... And that is why gentle people's conversations makes me feel comfortable:) )
So once again thank you always for your lovely reactions :)
Take care and have fun!
P.S.
The ending animation is based on the parallel world that Horikoshi drew in some opportunity! lol
Seems like he likes old fantasy parallel(like RPG games) he has drown it few different times. No any spoilers!

It's definitely a difficult conversation to think about if Stain has the right idea or not, and it's been explored a lot in hero society fiction. Should a "hero" be compensated or should they fight villains and save people because they have the ability and it's the right thing to do? Well that can be said about a lot of essential jobs, people often use it against people who complain about being underpaid like teachers, well shouldn't you teach for the passion and not the paycheck? No. I do not believe this. If someone's job is essential they deserve to be compensated fairly and incentively, especially if they do it well and can be a good influence for people in their community. I think the fame and publicity part of being a hero in this society is a little off putting (just look at Momo and that very random commercial she had to be a part of), and stain can have a good argument against that, but most of the most famous heroes are also extremely capable and do a good job protecting their community, I wouldn't call them fake.

stain knows what he’s doing is “wrong” in a good vs evil sense … kira was delusional

I feel like Stain and Kira (Light) are mirror images of each other. serial killers who think they can cleanse society of corruption, but one is bringing hope to criminals and the other was reigning terror over them. yet ironically stain is perhaps an anti hero and kira is a flat out villain
