So regarding bakugos first two hero name attempts, it's actually really clever wordplay by bakugo lol "King Explosion Murder" (爆殺王) amd "Lord Explosion Murder" (爆殺卿) The pronunciation of those being "Bakusatsuou" and "Bakusatsukyou" The 1st kanji , 爆 "baku" relates to explosion/bomb and is also the kanji used in his name "爆豪" (Bakugou) "殺" (satsu), the 2nd kanji, relates to killing/murder (like how satsujin) is the Japanese word for murder Basically, the pun occurs when they're put together. "Bakusatsu" is a play on "bakuhatsu" which is the full word for explosion The third kanji is the one that causes the change between King and Lord. They are 王 (ou) and 卿 (kyou) respectively. They're different words, but they both denote some sense of royalty. (King/Lord Explosion Murder)
