"can i just say a few things about icyhot?" "no" 🤣🤣🤣

i think one of the most interesting aspects of mha are the very clear themes of discrimination, it reminds me of the x-men lol with how some people treat each other in this society. people can’t help the quirks they’re born with, and yet there’s so much hate and fear towards those who seem “predisposed” to being a villain. shinso is kind of the first example we see of this, and even deku himself was bullied just for not even having a quirk. they touch on this throughout the show but in my opinion mha is a clever commentary on society behind very flashy characters and typical anime nonsense if you get what i mean haha anyways i’m excited for the later seasons and i’m enjoying watching y’all’s reactions as always !! :D

Shinso is so special to me, he has the drive to be a hero the same way that Deku and Kacchan do but with the quirk he was born with he has to fight a different battle to get to where he wants to be, and he didn't let the negativity bring him down the way it could on someone with a weaker heart. You can imagine there are a lot of opportunities for a special quirk like his to be useful as a hero but he doesn't have the attack power, yet he still needs to graduate from a hero course to become a hero. This is why Aizawa was saying the entrance exam isn't exactly the best way to enroll students, he can probably relate since he has a sneaky quirk as well.

The sad thing about shinso isn't just that he lost. He's been isolated and avoided his entire life because people are wary of being brainwashed. He's had the goal of being a hero, but people assumed villainous things about him simply because of his quirk. Because of the quirk he was born with, the ability to reach his goals has been out of reach. It's a lesson about not judging people on first assumptions. That's why I really like Shinso a lot

Haha I noticed that too. I’m assuming Jordan is going for a Todoroki win based on how he was talking, and Jared is going for Deku. That’s just my assumptions though

I am glad you started peeping the way Endeavor talks to Todoroki. He literally thinks of him like a tool, a thing, a "masterpiece". It is really sickening that he wants for his children what he couldn´t achieve. I´ve seen a lot of fathers like that, living their lifes through their sons and putting pressure on them because of that, but this is another level. I really cant stand parents that act that way, like mothers forcing their girls to be actresses or do certain sport, or fathers forcing their children to study what they studied just because they need to be like them or some bs like "you need to be a doctor or an accountant, if you study what you want you will have no future.." typesht. Ooouuugh I just cant with that bs.

no cuz shinso could of entered his villain era cuz of everyones assumptions. but im so glad he didn’t go that route and instead decided to prove to everyone even with his quirk he can also become a hero.

That´s right! They bet on everything but the winner lol

J&J wait were yall basing this bet on who wins overall or if you got each of your bracket predictions right? 🤔 i thought it was the latter because yall didn't actually say who you thought would win.
