The opening shows many references to classic plays with Caitlyn with Macbeth, Viktor with Phantom of the opera, Jinx with Les Misérables and Ambessa/Mel with Julius Caesar .In season 1 all the characters were depicted as stone statues and now we see then in the flesh stripped down to their most vulnerable selves as they are all basically in white underwear even Vi’s lip scar and Jinx’s tattoos are removed. All except Ambessa, Viktor and Caitlyn who is wearing a long sleeve black turtleneck as she is trying to close herself off. Also Vi wipes away her tattoo to show how lost she has become between Cait and Jinx. Caitlyn’s change so far is interesting . S1 Ekko said” your people hunt us like animals Silco pays them to do it” and Cait responds “ Thats not possible you’re wrong” and s2 going “ what kind of- Animals” My favourite scene in this episode was the councillor Salo chair hopping. The City of progress didn’t have accessibility ramps to the council room or in Piltover as a whole and the idea that they assumed a citizen or councillor would ever need them. And Zaun has Raps and elevators everywhere as the majority are disabled and have prosthetics.

Also, just a warning, even as a long time league player who had seen S1 multiple times, there’s 1-2 plot threads in Season 2 that were very confusing to understand on my first watch. I’ve seen many others voice the same sentiment. I think there was a small disconnect with the audience, as when this aired we thought Arcane S2 was the complete end of the show. However, it’s now known that there are spin-off shows in production that while technically different shows, may utilize some plot threads and world-building from Arcane. So that makes the confusing plot lines easier to handle knowing that even by episode 9, you aren’t supposed to fully understand everything yet. Just wanted to give a heads up, as for me I had a few episodes where I was scratching my head wondering if I just completely missed something obvious.
