2025-01-23 23:54:34 +0000 UTCNot sure if you guys have seen the other comments on Mineta, but now that you’ve seen him and how he acts, I don’t think it’s a spoiler to say 99% of MHA fans hate his inclusion in the story. It’s a very outdated form of comedy that’s often present in older animes. It’s unfortunate the author uses it here. I actually find Chainsaw Man’s use of the “pervy” character to be very well done. It’s incredibly plot-relevant, humorous at times, but also taken seriously when needed. Mineta on the other hand is just the king of inappropriate jokes/actions, always non-consensual, and rarely plot relevant. It’s one reason why MHA is usually recommended a little further down the line instead of as someone’s first anime. At this point you understand anime can have some weird stuff in it, and can just ignore it in order to enjoy the rest of the show. Silver Lining: It’s always hilarious to see Mineta right in the mix of the top most-hated anime character surveys, right next to the most heinous villains of other series 😂
