2025-01-23 05:49:17 +0000 UTCAnd so begins the development of Bakugo's character! I remember when I very first started watching MHA (over 7 years ago now!) I really did not like his character at all. But, after watching him grow and develop, and after rewatching the series, he quickly grew to be one of my favourite characters. As we have seen, Bakugo was praised for having an amazing, powerful, hero perfect quirk from the moment it manifested by everyone around him. He was strong, compared to those around him, from a young age and was wanting to go to U.A even from his small middle school that had no one do so before. And now, all of a sudden, he has gone from being the best compared to his classmates and compared to Izuku, to watching as a guy he had been calling useless his entire life somehow manage to outsmart and beat him. And then to see that his classmates, especially Todoroki, are just as strong as he is, if not even more so. He all of a sudden feels out of his depth, no longer is everything 100% guaranteed to go his way. I think this is a great kind of 'reality check' for him, in a way. And, now he has competition in the form of these strong classmates that he can learn to beat and get stronger and realise his dream of becoming #1.

2025-01-22 05:03:10 +0000 UTCI agree~ Bakugou didn't need anyone to come and lift him back up. He did that himself. Listen to how he talked to Deku. He admitted he was out of line and messed up during the training exercise. He knows it without All Might having to tell him. That's why he let him go. He "got over it" essentially and moved on to wanting to do better next time. Its definitely the wake up call he needed though!

Deku = Young Zeke All-Might = Miche (sniffing Scout in S1/S2) Uraraka = Gabi Shoto Todoroki (Icy-Hot) = Eren Yeager Tokoyami (bird-head) = Reiner Braun Momo (ponytail smart girl) = Armin. That last one is especially hilarious to me because I can’t tell at all! There’s many more crossovers later in the series as more heroes and villains are introduced, but it’s crazy how many Scouts are already in the show by Episode 8!

He feared that Bakugo's volatile emotions might get the better of him and his goals. As All Might heard Bakugo scream, "I'll become a hero that surpasses even you without telling me!" All Might realized that Bakugo has caught himself and is still striving to become stronger instead of losing himself in his frustration and anger.

Todoroki is my main man and has been a sticker on my car for years 😂😂 Kirishima(spiky red hair) also holds a special place in my heart, and Tokoyami(bird) is my kindred spirit who just also happens to share the same birthday as me🤣 Also I think it’s important to remember that these guys are literally kids. Teenagers. 14/15!!! The type of emotions and changes you go through mentally/emotionally at that age is already so hard. So many people hate on Bakugo but he really is just an insecure, scared, kid who is putting a lot of pressure on himself!!

2025-01-21 21:18:57 +0000 UTCThe first time I watched MHA some of the quirks were so off-putting to me. I was convinced that some of these characters were used as human shields in the battlefield to protect those who are actually strong. I guess they will each prove their worth overtime.

The role of Bakugo was especially difficult for him as he has to constantly scream, which resulted in him having to take a hiatus due to getting throat surgery. Respect for voice actors / actresses ✊🏼 P.S. he also voices a character in Demon slayer, but you haven’t really gotten formally introduced to them yet.

2025-01-21 20:49:41 +0000 UTCHey j&j Please allow me to shed some light on bakugo and why this was so important. also ill explain the ochako thing. Bakugo is strong kid, but he's extremely insecure. He's incredibly intelligent and strategic like we see, but he equates his strength to his self worth since that how people around him growing up treated him. This fight and the talk with Allmight is so incredibly important to Bakugos Character arc. His worldview was shattered into a million pieces by Deku becoming more powerful, but instead of letting that break him, he now starts to rebuild it, different from before. He adapts and overcomes, instead of shattering on this obstacle of the mind Think of it this way, he looks down on deku for being quirkless because he feels that without his quirk he wouldn't be strong enough to matter. Because deku didnt want to use his quirk, Bakugo was angry, thinking that deku didnt see him as a threat. It's a highly toxic cycle of inferiority, self insecurity and his reality shattering and he's 15. He's confused already and definitely takes a long time to work through things like that. You're onto something, pay attention to his character, even in background shots. Ps don't take him saying "die" or "I'll kill you" literally since it's like his catchphrase For ochako, she floated the rocks and hit them towards iida to get an opening. That would've been too reckless If that weapon was real. It could've exploded.
