bakugou is one of my favorite anime characters. his and deku’s characters development is amazing to watch throughout the show, especially their relationship to each other. i could write a thesis paper on this, and have sent 30+ min voice notes to friends on it. i was a little worried going in that you wouldn’t pick up on it and understand bakugou as a character. a lot of reactors do and often write him off as a soon to be villain and never think about him again bc of how slow and natural his arc is. but you’ve already proven to me multiple times that you see it. which makes me so happy. now, i won’t say any specifics on what’s to come. i want yall to see it on ur own, but i’ll leave you with this. it’s been discussed before that people’s quirks can affect their personality. so when bakugou developed his explosion quirk he very like did actually get a much shorter temper tha he had before. to me personally, it changed how i looked at him. it might not for you, which is ok of course, but i thought id bring it up. anyways sorry for the long rant and glad to be back on patreon. i was subbed to ur bts one for almost a year and had to stop bc i was simply too busy to keep up. anime tho is a lot easy to binge through on my free time and like another commenter said, ur reactions have helped me watch stuff i didn’t necessarily enjoy previously (im more if a shouja watcher 😭) cant wait to see your takes in the next few seasons of this show!!!

2025-01-22 23:52:13 +0000 UTCi think i watched till like the end of s4 or maybe a little of s5 of mha? im not too sure, but it was always a casual watch. personally, it feels a little too overhyped for me, but it is still fairly enjoyable. i think one of my favorite aspects of the series tho is def bakugo. i think he's a rlly well done character and was fun to watch grow from what i can remember it'll be fun to go through the series w you guys again. i dont remember a lot from it, but hopefully i grow to appreciate it a little more than i currently do !!

In Japanese, the word "hero" is pronounced "eiyuu(like A.U.)" so I think Horikoshi(the author) turned around the pronouncing of it and made it the school's name :) Second, about "Deku" There is a Japanese common expression "Deku no bou", and this means useless people/staff. And it's also true the kanji "Izuku" can also read as "Deku". The real meaning of Izuku(出久) is, 出 = stand out 久 = long time so his parents had a wonderful intensions naming him that, but Kacchan read it the mean way. (Kanji has multiple meanings to it, so I chose the suitable ones here for meaning of "Izuku") Last thing, it's not quite about MHA but for bonus. lol The meaning of Kagura that you see often. (I'm sure you are going to see it in the other shows you are watching right now too!) Kagura is written 神楽 and these kanjis stands for 神 = god 楽 = fun so Kagura is what people call "the dance to entertain gods" in Japanese Shinto.
