Thank you so much for all the kind words and advice, it really helped put things in perspective and made me think about a lot of things and that it is wiser to live more in the present, glad to hear you found something you like doing and that you are finding your identity, you are free to reach out if you ever want to talk or if you want to share, we are here for you and thank you again 🙏🥰

Thank you for adding those information! I forgot about that 'cause I'm doing that so naturally. lol I remembered another example! Hunter X Hunter = "Hun"ter X "Hun"ter = Hunhun Maybe some of you heard it before:)

Just wanna also clarify that the Japanese add an extra syllable when they pronounce fruit in English, so it’s like “fu-ruit” instead of the regular English pronunciation “fruit.” That’s why the shortened name is furu-ba

Aww thank you 😊 I'm not the best person at making connections with people either cuz I'm shy; but there are some tricks that made it easier for me, one of them is to talk one-on-one with people more at first I thought it's intimidating than talking to group of people but actually it was the opposite, I realized that people tend to be more open & talkative about themselves when we talking aloan. And try to congratulate the with any occasion the have even if it through a text message, believe me there will be no one who will not be happy that you remember them. One of my best connections started with "that was a great speech", simple words like: good jop/good morning or smiling to them even if you not close to each other it makes you feel familiar and closer. As for your identity struggles I think it's normal especially when you young and facing a big change in your life. I used to hate it when teachers asked what your dream job and everyone would answer except me, it made me feel less than my classmates & I struggled with my identity too, when I stopped focusing on the distant future and started short-term goals and looking for things I love. One of the best things happened to me when I discovered that l love mixing drinks together & trying new flavors, an acquaintance offered me part-time job as bartender. These little things will come together and become your identity, so don't rush as the greatest mother of all the times Kyoko-san says "just be you and live life at your own pace, eventually you will catch up " I hope I helped you even a little bit 🙏

Tohru throwing a right-handed jab with her left hand never fails to make me smile. ❤️

Hey guys just wanted to chime in as I said I would: The Somas are more like a clan and there aren’t precise classifications, but it’s likely that they’re only distantly related, if at all. In Japan, clans as large as the Somas don’t necessarily consist of people who are directly related, there can be multiple branches and families within a single clan. That being said the show does let you know if there are any actual siblings so look out for it! Also it is common in different cultures outside of the U.S. to refer to those older than you as Aunt, Uncle, Older brother, Older Sister and sometimes cousin even if you aren’t blood related but you have been brought up or raised together. I I’m of Barbadian descent (my family is from Barbados, you know the place Rihanna is from) and we operate like this in my culture too. An aunt isn’t always a “real aunt” they might be an older cousin or just an older family friend that has been around during childhood. In this way Shigure, Yuki, and Kyo refer to each other as "cousins".

Thanks, J&J for provoking a thoughtful discussion. In lieu of tests, I think consistent actions and honest communication are greater testaments to one’s faith or one’s trustworthiness. Tests in relationships, whether you are the tester or the one tested, erode trust and breed resentment. Kagura wears a cat-shaped backpack repping Kyo.

Hi! Great reaction! Thank you always:) The reason why we call Fruits basket "Furuba" is because Japanese like to shorten long names. Like, Fruits basket = "Fru"its "ba"sket = Fruba(we pronounce it more like "Furuba") My hero academia = My "hero" "aca"demia = Heroaca(we pronounce it more like "Hiroaka") I hope you'll understand with this ;) Have fun and take care!

Hi, born in the year of the pig here, turning 30 this year. I follow both the Anime and BTS page, and i appreciate you two and the community on both BTS and anime so much!! 💜 I have commented a few times before, i just wanna say how glad i am you guys are reacting to this beautiful and emotional anime, cant wait till you meet the other zodiac characters. This anime gives so many life lessons, can relate to some of the characters and what they go trough which a lot of people do and why this show is so loved! I find it hard to connect with people and to not feel so out of place/lonely, and being half black half white i struggled (still struggle) with my identity, feeling like nobody truly knows me, feeling to self absorbed/selfish, anxiety attacks, but i am learning to truly trust and connect with people again, and truly not taking anything for granted and truly love the ones in my life and learn to love life again, so this anime is really like a healing gift, it slowly heals some the hurts and eases your worries and gives you new perspectives on many things, also who is your favorite character so far and why? Sending you much love Meira, rooting for you!! ❤️ I wrote a bit too much, sorry 😅 btw i added in my Norwegian last name now, just to not get confused with other people with the same name.

The Somas are all part of a clan and the zodiacs are not blood related (unless they clearly say there is a blood relation), but when it comes to Yuki and Kyo and even Yuki and Shigure, they aren't cousins, they’re distant relatives, and more like a clan which consists of people having the same surname (they just say "cousins" to others to avoid confusion to normal people about their family dynamics, as in this modern age having clans isn't common anymore. Also the term ‘cousin’ is used because in Japan there’s no exact term for ‘distant relatives’). The Somas have been a very high in status clan, they've been around for ages, the family is huge, they own many businesses, properties, hospitals, schools etc...

You guys always manage to create a sense of comfort and warmth through your discussions, and I think a show like Furuba naturally amplifies this atmosphere in your reactions. I’m very grateful for that. Your take on Kagura reminded me of my first reaction to her. It was quite different. She’s the archetype of a ‘yandere’ character - known in anime/manga for being obsessive and possessive of their love interest. This is the opposite of the ‘tsundere’ archetype, where feelings are hidden under a cold and indifferent facade, which is essentially Kyo. I have really mixed feelings about yandere characters because they seem to care only about their own emotions, often forcing those feelings onto others without considering how their love interest actually feels. Obsessive personalities in general tend to unsettle me, so I wasn’t sure how to feel about Kagura at first. However, I appreciate Tohru’s perspective on how such care and love can often be taken for granted. This likely ties to her experience of losing her mother suddenly and how much she misses the care and love her mother provided - something many of us don’t fully appreciate until it’s gone. That perspective helped me see Kagura’s feelings in a different light, though I still struggle with the idea of love being forced onto someone. That said, this show is phenomenal when it comes to character development. As I learned more about Kagura, my opinion of her changed significantly. I can’t wait to see you experience the depth and growth of the characters in this series. Thank you again for your wonderful reactions and thoughtful insights! P.S. I was born in the year of the Horse. Apparently, we’re known for being strong-spirited, independent, and energetic—though I’m not so sure about that last one :)

I love the password🤣 Perfect for this Episode. As usual, i LOVED your reaction! 🥳
