So like this Intro says, This is a superpowered society with 80% of the population being born with a quirk. Think of it like this: If a man has a quirk that creates water and pulls it from the air around them, and a woman has a quirk that allows her to turn water into any element, their child could be born with the power to take the water from the air and turn it into any any element. A combination of both their parents quirks. It's also possible to be born with either just the mother or fathers quirk or with a quirk that's a mutation which is different from either parents quirk but that's rare. The people who look like monsters or wood have been born with a heteromorphic quirk that permanently changed their appearance from that of a normal human being. (Like kamui woods or the sludge villan for example) I'm very happy that you're starting this series so thank you for all you do! It dives into a lot of different things so I hope you come to love it as much as I have. Also, katsuki is pronounced kat-ski not kat-su-ki. :) he's my favorite character like a lot of people and all I'll say is pay attention to him and how his character is written and give him a little grace like I know you have with so many other characters and I hope you'll eventually come to understand why many of us love him so much! Additionally, the episodes always have a preview at the end for the next episode so don't watch it or it will spoil for you. (Also the manga has already ended) Thank you so much if you read my comment and I hope you enjoy the series

Though as I said. The movies are sort of set apart from the show some parts are mentioned in the show but overall can be watched anytime

2025-01-14 00:59:06 +0000 UTCAnother anime that’s a favorite of mine is Fairytail and MHA is tied for first on my favorite list! I like all kinds of fantasy shows! Also fun fact: the station the big first fight was at was called tatooin station apparently some of the people who work on the show are big Star Wars fans so there’s some of this sprinkled in! One of the things I love about this show in particular is the concept and how it’s executed! I love the almost comic feel in the show especially when they give character information! Also, bakugo aka kachan is one of my favorite characters in this show (he wasn’t at first but I love a good character arc and in my opinion he has one of the best ones in the show) To clear some things up: izuku is the green haired boys first name and Midoryia is his last and katsuki is kachann’s first name as is bakugo is his last, these characters have known each other since they were little (more on their relationships as the show goes on), that’s why they have special nick names for each other katsuki calles izuku (deku: which stands for something i will not spoil) and izuku calles katsuki kachann

MHA is my fourth favorite after AOT, Haikyuu, and HXH, so I decided to explain somethings to you guys (spoiler free of course.) 1). Quirks are just the terminology for superpowers in MHA, very few times they will call them "powers", it'll mostly be called "Quirks" through and through 2). Katsuki Bakugo (the blonde bully): his nickname, which really only Izuku refers to him as is "Kacchan", taking the "Ka" from his first name and adding "-chan" which usually means familiarity or something child-hood like 3). Izuku Midoriya (Our main character): He has the nickname "Deku" which Bakugo gave to him as well, in the next episode or two (I believe) it'll explain what "Deku" means and why Bakugo uses that nickname for Izuku. And also, don't be scared to call him that either! It's commonly used to refer to Izuku as any one of the names I mentioned in this paragraph.

In 2018 or so I borrowed this manga from my brother and it hooked me completely, because of that I came back to the manga-anime world again. Be prepared for a lot of characters, names, hero names, different Quirks (superpowers), etc. You will need to take notes and check them frequently at least in the first and second season, maybe more. I hope you enjoy this journey.

2025-01-14 00:45:52 +0000 UTCi always liked Midoriya's opening monologue starting with 'all men are not created equal', it goes so hard to set the scene for his struggles. in a world full of people with 'quirks' or superpowers, each power being unique and definitely not equal. even with Midoriya's parents, his mother can float small objects and his father can breathe fire, very different and i'd say unequal powers. i'm really excited to see yall explore this world, i'm a huge super hero fan and i love the way they approached the world building in this story. there are also a TON of characters but they will also constantly remind you who is who and what they can do so don't worry too much if you can't catch everything 😄

Nearly every MHA reaction series has multiple episodes taken down per season and I’ve heard many reactors complain about it. Just a heads up so you guys are aware of it once you start posting them to YouTube.

The large cast lends itself well to this, and it can generate some fun discussion in the comments. Just an idea though!

This anime starts off lighthearted and "childish" in the first few episodes, sorta like how HxH beginning was, but I SHIT YOU NOT Y'ALL, it just keeps getting better and BETTER. Now, I'm a huge fan of superhero stuff, I even write superhero fiction as an aspiring author on the side. It's a big deal to me to read and watch everything superhero cause I like to admire it all. I didn't vibe with this anime for a bit early last year, but when I gave it a second chance at the beginning of this year, it was pure fire 🔥 Nonstop something to love. Stay with it y'all. Its all uphill from here. I literally crave watching more of it every single day. Somehow it never fails to disappoint me with new stuff. It starts off light at first...but just you wait, y'all gonna be on your toes with this one!!! There are a lot of heroes and people with "quirks" to keep track of in this anime. Y'all are welcome to keep writing about each of them, there is no hurt in it, but the anime will assist you overtime keeping track of everyone's names.
