Since it looks like MHA may win I want to mention that there are no plot spoilers in the Opening or Closing credits, but there are character spoilers in the Opening so if you do not want to see a lot of the upcoming characters then skip the opening for a couple episodes, others can let you know if they agree. I rewatched the first few episodes today and I'm looking forward to the reactions :) this show is kind of a slow burn but it still starts off strong in it's own right.

Since it looks like MHA will win, just wanted to give some non-spoiler facts about the show: - MHA is produced by Studio Bones. They also produced Fullmetal Alchemist, Soul Eater, and Mob Psycho 100. - MHA came out in 2016, currently has 7 seasons, and is airing the 8th and final season in October 2025. The manga just finished recently. - MHA has several movies and OVA's between seasons. I'm sure the audience will keep y'all updated as they come up. - Most seasons have 1-2 episodes with post-credit scenes. - Voice actors in MHA: Hannes/Nanami, Floch, young Zeke, Porco, Reiner, Connie, Gabi, Armin/Mai, Eren, Sukuna, Gojo, Inumaki/Kei/Mereum, Panda. - MHA has a very, very large cast of characters. Many characters are also referred to by their first name, last name, or nickname interchangeably. Of all shows, this is the one to have a handy chart on hand. Don't feel bad if you forget them, it takes everyone a long time to actually remember the many difficult names in the show. - Opinion: My personal preference for watching the show is subbed on Crunchyroll.

MHA was my very first anime I ever really watched. I guess you could bring up ATLA, but not really an anime. Nevertheless, I used to mess with my cousin for watching anime, and now I watch more than him 😂. All I can say is, the music, the charcters, the development, the fights/animation, all top notch. Starts a little slow, but picks up towards the end of s1. It is a shounen, so expect a lot of the same tropes from shows like jjk and demonslayer, just not as dark themed most of the time. Super excited to see you guys react to my favorite show lol

To be fair, I have seen big reactors like Nicolas Light or Haylo and Kiss react to One Piece's old bloated and badly paced adaption and love it so much. Like opinions, you could hate something that others actually like, in this case just be happy One Piece is not winning this poll this time 😅

Things like Naruto and Bleach has been done for years, so spoilers won't be a problem. But it is also early in their anime life so a MHA or FMAB is probably the right series to start. honestly when i first started watching mha i really wasn’t feeling it for the first season but its probably because i was busy binge watching hxh but when season 7 came out in may i told myself i’d binge watch mha from start to finish and i loved every minute of it especially season 6 and 7! i think you guys will really like it if it wins, although its been in the lead basically the whole time- naruto is veryyyyyy close to beating it😔

It was supposed to be a joke on MHA than on slice of life. Most slice of life are chill and dont have an exact purpose or overarching plot. Nothing wrong with that. There are some great slice of life out there and I have no problem with a range of genre. But MHA just gives childish slice of life vibes for way too many seasons and I was hoping for a more serious show out of this poll.

I know its not actually a slice of life, I was making a joke at the expense of the show because in comparison to the other shows on the list, MHA is slow and low stakes, with only a few actually memorable moments whereas the other shows on the list are gold star classic bangers. in my opinion

Even though the big three, Monster and FMAB are legendary I still feel like MHA is definitely more addictive in its own way, imo the pacing is also a lot better than the other anime. The Fanbase is definitely the factor that makes people dislike MHA but I really enjoyed the Characters and different Quirks that make every Character interesting in its own way.

Ooooh I see. That makes sense but the fan service doesn’t really bother me but I understand it annoys some people. I mean it’s part of Anime culture though so J&J should also be subjected to it 😅 and yeah it took me a very long time to like Mineta but he is funny sometimes. It is usually the fanservice involved in some of the character designs that I see and hear get a lot of hate. Also, Mineta’s entire thing. And people really hate the fandom for some reason that I have never really understood. Every big shonen has toxic fans and I don’t think MHA has any more or less than the Big 3, or AOT, or JJK, etc.

Yes, in fact, they can skip the fillers. The 1st time I watched Naruto/+Shippuden, I watched everything including all the fillers. And it wasn't a bad experience [again, personally]. The next 2 times, I watched the anime without the fillers. And it's not difficult to figure out what to skip. Plus, we can explain, or provide links with the filler eps to the twins. They don't have to watch the fillers, too. And Naruto would still remain a top choice, regardless of the fillers. That's not to say that other anime are good or don't deserve a chance above Naruto. I'm just saying that, now that they're done with other series, they could finally also give Naruto a chance, because it's worth it. 😭

AOT is also amazing but it wasn’t signed to a television program having to put out weekly episodes like naruto hence the filler. Also pretty easy for a mod to point out filler episodes to skip.

I was a pretty big MHA hater for awhile, cause I had only seen a few dubbed episodes before I actually got into anime. And the sub is infinitely better. I’d always heard it was mid, but after finally getting into it I think that undersells it. It has a few basic weaknesses (fan service, some pacing in middle seasons), but also a ton of huge strengths, mainly including a massive cast of side characters that I actually care about. A weird advice I have is to go into it like it’s an action-oriented slice-of-life anime, and you’ll be in the right headspace to enjoy it. MHA has risen to my 2nd favorite standard shonen.

if you skip the filler its "only" 425 canon ep for naruto+shippuden, and the filler in naruto and shippuden are totaly skipable and bring nothing... naruto have like 230 ep but only 125 are canon and 95 are filler for shippuden is more or less 500 ep but only 300 canon and 200 filler, (naruto is famous for having more or less 6 years of filler episode ( 295 filler, with 1 episode per week, 51 weeks a year, 295 episodes make 6 years x)
