You'll love demon slayer, trust me. This anime is most well known for its lovable characters and incredible animation. This was the anime that pushed the frontier of animation when it came out, because no one saw anything like it before.

I couldn’t believe this 9 year old was watching it (along with AOT) but it quickly became our thing, so naturally it’s a favorite. She’s 13 now and we still keep up with it. As the oldest of five siblings, I really felt for Tanjiro—his bond with his family and the heartbreak of losing them always hits hard. His maturity and resilience, even under such devastating circumstances, are incredible. I don’t know if I could be as strong during a time like that. Life can change as suddenly as the weather, as he said. Maybe I do love animes with trauma 🥲 but they always have so much depth and they’ve taught me some beautiful and soul-finding lessons. 😌 Can’t wait for next week! Have a wonderful New Year Jared, Jordan and everyone here!

As you heard, the pacing is very well done and the storytelling is consistent and interesting. Hoping that you speed your way through to season 2, it's my personal favorite. I also find it funny that after watching JJK you still cant get away from Geto as Giyu has the same voice actor lol. Anyway, have a happy new year, can't wait for more of these.

I have yet to see a reaction channel dislike this series at all despite the constant comments discrediting it lmaooo I mean to each their own that is totally fine not everyone has to like the same things, however, it's frustrating when people talk so negatively ( like not criticism or why they did not personally enjoy it but simply just concluding the show is "bad" which is not true, it just was not for them) about a show before the reactors even get a chance to form their own opinions. Anywayyysss, this is one of my favorites personally. I will say that it took me a little longer to get fully invested but once I was (towards the later half of this season/arc) I absolutely adore this series for more than just the great animation loll.. I'm actually now reading through the manga as we wait for the end of the anime.. But anyway I am excited to rewatch this with you guys, it's definitely a solid series and one I feel is good for those who are newer to watching anime tbh :)

Her smile is still very clear in my mind whenever you talk about her 💜 I'm sooo in for another rewatch of DS with you, ahhhh! I'm so excited 🤩 The animation, every single step of Tanjiro on that snow was so real. And unlike other anime, it wasn't only the background that has great animation, but also the characters, their movements, even the blades of their katanas. Gahhh I love this anime! 🥹🥰💜 That thing on Tanjiro's forehead was like a birthmark, I believe 😊 Tanjiro and Nezuko are just so, so precious. To more seasoned anime watchers it may come off as "basic shonen" but even if that's true, I find Demon Slayer to do all the simple things perfectly and I love it ❤️ great 1st reaction and I can't wait to continue down this journey with y'all 🔥

Another popular series is Fate, though I haven’t seen that one yet myself. They don’t have quite as many heavy hitters as MAPPA, but the shows they do have are all known for their smooth, detailed, and vibrant animation style. I’m no expert, but I’ve read this is largely due to a greater emphasis on the back-end of the animation process (compositing, lighting, cg environment integration, camera effects) to compliment their 2D animations. Side note: Tanjiro is the same VA as Falco in AoT. Eren, Connie, Reiner, Marco, Marlo, Zeke, child Zeke, and Willy Tybur all make appearances as well. I’m curious to see if you guys pick up on Eren Yeager’s VA, I was almost unable to see the Demon Slayer character as anyone other than Eren after realizing it.

A lot of people put this anime down because they believe the story sucks and that it is carried by the animation but frankly, not every story needs to be convoluted with 50 plot twists. Sometimes it's nice to watch a show that doesn't require much brain power but hits you in the feels instead. Excited to see y'all experience this journey

Giyu mentioned that pure anger that cannot be forgiven can be a firm driving force to move forward, which is impossible to say unless you have experienced it yourself
