Plus, its not uncommon for this age difference to matter for couples years down the road. I can agree they are not a couple, but its def not for the age difference reason lol

Caitlyn's parents sponsored Jace's research and she was intrigued, which is why they became friends. Their relationship is more sibling-like. Plus it would be highly inappropriate given their age difference. Jace is 31 now, while Caitlyn is in her early 20s, which would've made them 24 and 14-17(ish) in the first act.

It's actually a pretty good metaphor for drugs in real life. Opioids are commonly used as painkillers but there's also a huge problem with dependency and abuse.

Powder/Jinx was about 11-12 years old in Act 1 and is now 17-19 while Vi was in the 14 to 17 range and is now in her early 20s.

In folklore, the crow symbolizes transformation/change. - In Jinx's hideout, we can see dolls of Mylo and Claggor as well as his goggles strapped onto it (https://shorturl.at/rRB7B). The Mylo figure has its feet on the table as he always had during Act 1 (https://shorturl.at/oZzfO). - Jinx listens to her own theme song « Get Jinxed » in her hideout. The song was released to promote and introduce players to the character Jinx. - Pim has the same voice actor as Silco (https://shorturl.at/sYk9b). - When Caitlyn saved Vi from Sevika, it was the first time she shot her rifle since Grayson asked her what she was shooting for. - The bloodstained coin that Marcus contemplates in Act 2 is the same one that Silco tossed him in Act 1 after Grayson died (good catch on the first watch Jordan ! Impressive, « my boy »). Also, a play with "blood money". - In League of Legends, "Pow-Pow" is the name of Jinx's minigun. The idea of those with gifted minds persists in Jayce and Viktor most - the more isolated Viktor gets, the bigger and greater (for good or for worse) are his scientific progressions, while the more Jayce gets into politics and relationships, the further away he is from the lab and actually science. Amazing parallels, amazing show. Just wanted to vent about it, sorry haha

He only cared for an experiment itself, and not for Rio. Even if extending its life means it would suffer, and be in pain. When Rio was connected to those machine with pipes, it looked miserable, in pain, barely alive. It would be merciful to let it die, and end suffering. That's why when Victor saw it he asked "You did this?". This show is a true masterpiece. There are no bad episodes at all! By the end of it, it will be your new favorite show of all time!)

Another call back this episode besides the ones you guys mentioned was when Kaitlyn told Vi she had a good heart and we hear Vanders voice when he said that to Vi. I absolutely am loving this show and Jinx may be in my top 3 all time favorite animated characters already

2024-12-17 00:13:31 +0000 UTCand i’m glad you guys caught the strange dynamic between mel and jayce!! i think there’s attraction between them, but there’s no real love at least in my opinion. they use each other. there’s a strange triangle between jayce, mel and viktor where if you watch mel and viktor’s scenes are paralleled. she doesn’t seem to care for viktor at all despite him being half of hextech, she’s focused on jayce the more “marketable” one because he’s charismatic and from piltover, he’s easy to push into politics. when you watch you can see viktor doesn’t really like her either from his facial expressions, he’s aggravated by jayce’s distraction. maybe i’m reading too much into it, but there’s so many instances. and this is not to hate on my girl mel she’s beautiful and i love her but she and jayce don’t work well together as a couple
