There are actually a lot of significations for the tattoos. Both sisters symbolize their relationship to each other through their tattoos which hold great meaning to their traumas and history with one another. Vi is covered with machine parts, cogs and gears but she isn’t even much of a science user. Jinx should have been the one with the gears and engines. Vi wasn’t a scientist or engineer but she had a lot of respect for her sister’s skill with gadgetry. The cogs and machinery that cover her body are less an outward representation of herself. Rather, they're more of a link to her lost sister. Jinx is covered in bright blue clouds that match her hair. This either symbolizes the flare that Vi gave her which fire a blue smoke signal or the blue cloud she looked up in amazement during the explosion she caused and that threw her off the building. Her tattoos are a sign that she’s constantly longing for her sister and/or how these blue clouds killed her family. Vi’s tattoos also feature these same billowing smoke clouds cascading around the gears and machine parts. While another link between her desire to reunite with her sister, it can also be another example of the trauma they went through, the smoke clouds resulting from Powder’s actions. Also, clouds relate to Jinx’s lifestyle. She is not bound by rules or morale and she’s almost constantly in a haze. Vi’s tattoo is all about power, she’s a machine that will mow everything on her way to her sister. Little detail : Vi’s prisoner number was 516. If we take her face tattoo as Roman numerals : V=5, I=1 and VI=6 (516). It also perfectly spells her name.

2024-12-16 11:41:35 +0000 UTCGood catch on some of the parallels! Another one is the Mel/Jayce scene overlaid on the scene of Viktor passing out. There are a lot of parallels between Mel and Viktor throughout the series, especially with regard to their respective relationship with Jayce, which I hope you’ll keep an eye out for. In that regard I also hope you keep an open mind, or maybe the right phrase is a more discerning mind, around Jayce and Viktor’s relationship with each other — are they brothers? Best friends? Or as many fans believe, something much more intimate, even romantic? Will be interesting to see what you think by the end of the series. Something amazing about Arcane is how detailed and intentional every single frame, microexpression, composition is - if you keep in mind that the animators don’t do a single thing without a specific meaning behind it, you’ll realize the depth of the storytelling here beyond what’s simply face value or dialogue, and I personally find something new left for the audience to interpret every single time I rewatch the show because of this, which always blows my mind.

2024-12-16 08:53:57 +0000 UTCAbout VI (6) on Vi’s face, I always thought of it as also a small reference to Tarot cards, card “6”, “The Lovers”, representing choices, significant relationships, and the need to make decisions based on love and personal values; it often signifies a moment where you need to choose between different paths in your life, particularly in matters of the heart. It is just my small theory, but I think it is very characteristic of Vi, who is all tough, but is actually a very sensitive and loving person.

2024-12-15 17:34:59 +0000 UTCi am just going to explain viktor he is just sick always has been i guess it didnt come from the hextech he was sick before so as u can see he has a weak body and bags under his eyes and look super skinny and he can barely walk with out his walking stick thingy. hopefully this makes it make more sense

He just instructed him to tell the Council that the bomb is from the Firelights, that way he can pin all the enforcer deaths on them and completely divert attention away from himself and Jinx.
