It was created by Singed, the scientist and biologist who work under Silco who was well... singed during the explosion caused by Powder. After sustaining severe injuries in his fight with Vander during their youth, Silco would be forced to periodically inject a small amount of Shimmer into his left eye to combat the river toxins poisoning his body. So yeah, that's basically his medication. Sevika lost her left arm when she pushed Silco out of the way and got caught in the explosion caused by Powder. She had it replaced with a mechanical prosthetic and used Shimmer as a fuel source to power it in battle.

2024-12-13 15:00:37 +0000 UTCI like the interpretation that "Jinx" is a narrative in Powder's head, and throught the years she's decided to incorporate that "Jinx narrative" as a way of understanding herself. Sorta like "Oh so I jinx everything? Then that's who I'm going to be from now on" which is obviously a gradual process of self acceptance which seems like it'll be consolidated by the end of the show, but that's just how I see it.

That triggered Jinx because we can assume she hasn't seen her since that unfortunate day. And if you look reeeeal closely, those flashes Jinx has as she "talks to herself" you can see stick drawings that look like Mylo/Claggor. She was basically imagining them in the room with her. She even has a set up in her propeller room with mannequins of them. Jinx has clearly been going through it 😢

Vi was about 13 yrs old and powder is about 7-9 yrs old for episode 3 but now vi would be about 20 yrs old and powder( jinx) would be 14-16 yrs old. With jinx the flash of scenes that happens is her hallucinating and just shows a bit of how jinx is from episode 3 to 4.

Jinx is just so unstable that she has a hard time distinguishing between reality and hallucinations. We also see that Jinx made stuffed animals of Claggor and Mylo in her base, and when she’s taking to herself, she thinks that they are talking to her. This shows how much PTSD and trauma she struggles with

Just a little girl who want sit in her dads lap. This is further implied by the fact that she keep trying to prove that she is useful to Silco. Just like what she was trying to do when she was a little girl. But yeah, it is mostly open to interpretation.

2024-12-12 17:29:08 +0000 UTCi get it fs, i thought their relationship was off-putting when i first watched too but i think watching the show thinking they might actually be TOGETHER would be really uncomfortable. it also makes silco out to be a predator which he’s a bad guy yes but he’s not that 😬 jinx is mentally ill and craves praise/acceptance so her behavior makes sense

Maybe because it was written as acts per three episodes, you can read comments at the start of acts, only ep. 7 and ep. 1,4, and 7 from season 2.

2024-12-12 04:05:10 +0000 UTCThe scene of Jinx talking to herself was so well done, I felt it did a great job showing the viewer exactly where her mental state is at. Did you guys notice the neon figure of a person that kept flashing on screen while Jinx was talking to herself was actually Mylo? That small quick detail in my opinion convinces me Jinx must've had some extreme mental breakdown from the guilt of causing the death of her friends. I'm just guessing. This was a great choice for a show to react to boys well done Had to add this after posting my comment: I think Mylo flashing on screen also represents the fact Jinx still feels like the burden to everyone around her, being the "jinx" of her group

First of all, it is paternal above all else. Many think that since Jinx is obviously mentally unstable she does not really understand the borders of personal space and Silko simply doesn't have a heart to tell her. Many also think that it is simply similar to a behavior of a small puppy laying down on your knees and then growing up into a 100+ lbs and still laying on your knees, but you are too attached to push it away. And, of course, some think that the relationship is more twisted with Jinx possibly feeling some sort of way that confused teenagers sometime do during puberty, but Silko allow it either for manipulating her or because he doesn't know how to adress it. Either way, it is up for the audience to understand it the way that make most sense to them.

Their Dynamic in this show is so Top tier you really cant get enough of it. Like other people have mentioned already Silco and Jinx are NOT together. they have Father-Daughter Relationship but she has so much trauma (as you saw she is severely struggling with Mental health after accidently killing Damn near everyone in Ep 3 and hasn't really had a chance to work on it) and losing Vander at such a young age and Silco having to Fill in that Father Like Role without knowing how to be "Father" per se. she is kind of stuck in the child like mindset so thats way she is always so close to him. it comes off a little weird at first for some people lol and Silco does NOT play when it comes to Jinx either. that's his Daughter Fr, Like when Sevika was telling Silco about all the trouble Jinx caused and said "We all know she is a problem". Silco's first response was "We? who is We?" The pink haired Girl on the ship was NOT VI. she was just some random Firelight that had some resemblance to VI. JInx actually told Silco that it wasn't VI and that she just looked like her. then also leading up to seeing VI in prison at the end. I really cant wait for you guys to continue getting deeper into the show. so many Twist and turns through out the show.

By the way, yes, that pink haired girl Jinx saw in the begining as NOT Vi, just some firelight member who looked like her. Vi was arrested by Marcus at the end of episode 3 and she's been in prison all this time (around 7 years). Powder/Jinx was just having a hallucination.
