2024-12-12 18:40:02 +0000 UTCRegarding the child with Colt calling herself Kite: The baby that was born along Meruem was only called Reina because Colt named her that, I don't think he has fully remembered his past life yet, otherwise he would've returned to his village to be with his mother too. But since his strong conviction of protecting those who are special to him, he must've remembered a certain important name which was "Reina" (his sister from his human life). Hence, having vowed to protect this child, he just unconsciously named her Reina....but as we all know, the real Reina have been reunited with their mother.

Thank you, for being so attentive during this lengthy arc, it was fun and thought-provoking to read the comments and follow along (shout out to Alpha & Slush, so funny)! LOL Togashi out here twerking on us with Kurt and Reina; going back to the reveal of Palm, it's shown that she has horrifyingly had her species forcibly changed. For me, this was one of those gut-wrenching moments where I was like, holy shit every ant who retained their memories is suffering and having to deal with this on their own. Seeing each ant make sense of their new reality is inspiring, and Reina's resolution, with her mother accepting her at the very end of the arc, is so beautiful. The conclusion you guys came to was on the money! Even though one's body has changed, you should love them for they truly are; a lesson to acknowledge other people's souls instead of their bodies (as you mentioned). A couple bonus points to possibly consider: - Brovado/Bolster not having memories of his previous life, contrasting with Welfin who pretty much retained most (if not all) of the memories from his past life. - Brovado/Bolster mentioning that Reina couldn't/wouldn't talk to them at the beginning of ep. 136, then after being accepted by her village, Reina speaks to Brovado asking him to eat with them (I took this as her accepting Brovado, which was really nice to see). - If you could, please include Kiryuu Yona's comment from ep. 135 in your next discussion, their thoughts on Diego (my mvp for the arc) are fantastic, truly a character that flips the entire arc on its head! (Almost like a garnish that perfects a dish!)

I love how much you guys felt on this episode, the rollercoaster that you've been going through has now had a satisfying and endearing closure that provided a lot of us with a wonderful much needed catharsis. I know compared to the bigger arcs like Yorknew City or the Chimera Ants, this final arc isn’t many people’s favorite, but it is without a doubt my favorite. I think the shorter nature of it really lends itself to my preferred pacing in anime, and the plot line has some really interesting stuff to learn and theorize about. Hope y’all enjoy it J&J!

When you first asked us to put what we think love is in the comments, I wasnt sure of the answer. Now, it makes sense. Love wins all. Meaning that Love truly wins all because love doesn't hate, love doesn't mock, love doesn't judge harshly, love doesn't hurt intentionally. Love says hi with a genuine smile to a person that has burns on their body. Love helps a older lady with her bags if she is struggling because you genuinely want to help. Love still hold onto hope even if that person has hurt you unintentionally. Love takes care and go beyond for the other. Love holds the hand of a 'tyrant' king. Love finds any way to help and save because they mean so much to you. Love runs to their child with love regardless of what they look like. Love also welcomes a friend no matter what they look like out of compassion and gratitude. Love believes. Love doesn't separate race and etc. Love truly wins all because it wins the heart of others as HxH has won the hearts of many. An anime that trusts their viewers intelligence that they want the viewers to grow and change for the better is an act of love as well. I'm not there in showing love in truth yet but HxH showed me that it takes experience and time to truly understand. So I agree HxH is a love story because it tells us that love is infinite.
