Catching up!🏐🫶🏻
I agree that it’s been so enjoyable to watch your growth, J&J. You have gained knowledge, vocabulary, appreciation for a sport previously not experienced. Isn’t so cool anime can function as a classroom? Love being part of your learning journey! Thanks for treating the show with open hearts and respect! Kudos!💜🫶🏻💜

You are certainly with the majority. Sugawara is beloved! He’s always in the top five in manga reader polls for favorite characters. He was rated the second-most favorite character just below Hinata in a Shonen Jump poll in Volume 14 Ch 123. He’s a super thoughtful, patient, steady, and wise leader. I agree, he’s integral in Hinata’s growth journey.

Can we just appreciate the fact that Tsuki went from “it’s just a game” to diving to save a ball!! 😭
This story is just one of the best stories. My appreciation to author and how he has incorporated so many characters into this story and keeping up with there growth is just absolutely amazing.

I love watching your reactions to Haikyuu every week and it is going to be sad that next week is the last week with only episode 25 and the movie left. I just have one thing I want to say and I would like your guys honest opinion.
I know everyone is going to talk about Asahi's serves and spikes, Daichi's defense and his moment between him and Kita after Kita's speech, Tanaka's amazing sharp line shot, Tsukki's block and Hinata's two amazing blocks. Those are all great everyone got a chance to shine in these two episodes but I want to point out one person that keeps getting overlooked despite me trying my best to point them out everytime in the comments.
Back in episode 22 yes Hinata's receive, it was amazing to finally see all his hard work come to fruition even if they did not get the point. Also did you noticed that the last person they show when Karasuno was feeling crushed after that point was Suga and he was about to say it hurts and so much more, than Hinata picks them up with his words and once again the first one they show recovering from Hinata's words and starts laughing is Suga.
Than in episode 24 when everyone on Karasuno starting playing faster to try and beat Inaziraki and after coach Ukai was trying to tell them to slow down and they were not. Hinata made an amazing dig and got the ball up so that his team can slow down, and who was it that said "the crowd, actually even the players on the court may not think that this pass is a big deal but..." It was Suga and than it shows a montage of him and Hinata at different times back in season 1 where they were alone and Suga was either helping him with his receives or giving him advice. At the end of that montage it shows Suga about to cry.
I truly believe they are doing this to show you how much Suga means to Hinata with how much time Suga has spent with Hinata in helping him all throughout the series starting back in season 1 to now at the end of season 4. He is also the one to find Hinata when he gets lost and also to be the one 3rd year to keep up with Hinata's craziness with his own chaoticness. Also as I have pointed out this entire season 4 that Suga was one of only 3 people to encourage Hinata in his sneaking in to Tsukki's training camp at Shiratorizawa, and when they had the practice match vs Date Tech Suga was the only one who noticed Hinata's growth. Suga is definitely the most important person to Hinata besides Kageyama. Let me know what you guys think.

I will miss these Haikyuu thursdays!! Thank you so much for reacting to this show. I will say, if you ever decide to rewatch it on your own time, you'll probably find yourself enjoying it even more. I was not a volleyball fan when I first watched it, and actually I'm not very into sports in general. So during my first watch, I wasn't that invested in the show. After rewatching it though, I got so much more into it since I noticed things I hadn't on my first watch and I understood the game a lot better. I tried playing volleyball for the first time and it was so much harder than I expected LOL. It would be really cool to see you guys film a video trying out the sport! Whether it's indoor, beach, or even just some practice drills.

this is my favorite match in the series so far as well !! i havent watched the movie yet, but i finished the manga a while back. and while the story is still just as good, it doesnt compare to watching the animated matches with the va's and music bringing it to life
it's unfortunate tho cause, im not sure if yall have heard, they are finishing haikyu with 2 movies: the one that was released earlier this year and one other that hasn't been announced yet. but if you ask any manga reader, it is 100% not enough time to finish the story. i have a feeling it's going to end up being rushed. i dont want yall to expect the movies to be bad or anything, i just think this series deserved so much more
anyway i hope that didnt put yall off or make you guys feel disappointed or nothing, i just wanted to mention it. im happy yall enjoyed the match and i cant wait to see yalls reaction to the season finale and movie !! imma keep watching yalls aot and jjk reactions afterwards too <3

Hey Jared & Jordan, I just wanna say I have been watching your AOT series for a good while now and subbed cause I had to watch the Finale with y'all.
I just saw your guys Instagram and came upon the post about you mother. I wanted to say she raised 2 wonderful and kind gentleman!! And just one look at her smile, I saw my own mothers smile in her too, I can tell how much love she carried for all those around her. And I can see how you two have carried that legacy on beautifully by just being yourselves. Keep doing you guys, and I wish the best for your family❤️

I'm really going to miss Haikyu Thursdays 🥲 I'm so happy we were able to get this show onto your schedule, I genuinely don't believe we would have been able to vote it in now with how fast your audience grew and how many anime there are to choose from 😂 so I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to share this show with you, and hope you can revisit it in the future anytime you need a nice feel good show to put on while you relax, or clean, or just feel like reliving those couple exceptional arcs we all love. Watching y'all experience this show was truly special 💜

I love the moment between Tsukki and Hinata. Tsukki goes up to block Suna "If I could stuff the block, I am sure the whole team would lose their minds. But I can't. So you better be there." Tsukki putting his faith and trust in Hinata to get be in the right position to receive the ball. I am sure up until this game, Tsukki would not have done that.
Tsukki's faith pays off as Hinata receives that ball, then we hear Hinata's thoughts, "Aw Dammit, I've known this for a while, but he's just so damn good at blocking." Hinata has grown to respect Tsukki's abilities.
So much mutual respect has developed between them. Who would have suspected they would wind up respecting and trusting each other in season 1. Remember they have not been a TEAM for a about 10 months.
Yes, it is JUST an anime about volleyball, but the writing, the character development, and the emotions make is so much MORE than JUST Volleyball.

Hello!! I usually don't comment.. or more like I have never... lol.. anyhow. I just wanted to say, this is my favorite episode in the entire series. I have watched Haikyuu at least 4 times (5 if you count me watching you watch it) and every single time when Hitana receives that "let's take it easy" ball I get emotional. Seeing his character grow, he went from playing with speed and instinct over technique to starting to think his moves during the matches while taking advantages of the strengths that he already had (his speed and reflexes)
I have enjoyed this journey with ya'll so far! You guys are great and I enjoyed watching your reaction videos! :)

hello! i think the ending here is also a callback to s1 ep24 where the quick gets blocked by seijoh and loses the game for karasuno. basically they used the same mentality against the miya twins!

"Speed is a very, very strong weapon. It's very charming and cool. But it's not invincible. They knew that a little better than everyone else."
I always got chills hearing this monologue by Tsukki. Hinata and Kageyama started their journey together from their freak quicks, it was invincible at first but then they had to adjust so many times getting blocked and received, even fighting about it when Hinata started to do other things. Because they polished their quicks so many times, they knew when exactly the opponent would use them, and they didn't hesitate even a bit to stop it. Full circle again!

Karasuno for the win! 😭🙌🏽
It was Tsukki who was speaking at the end about speed being a very very strong weapon but not invincible. And how Hinata and Kageyama understood that a little better than anyone else. Those 2 practically made the minus tempo attack. And experienced it being countered by other teams, so they had to keep adjusting and learning how to be smart with how they used it. I think it was really fitting that Hinata and Kageyama made that last point by blocking Atsumu and Osamu’s minus tempo attack. I’m sure they would’ve done the same thing the twins did, if the roles were reversed.
Also, shout out to Tsukki for diving out to save the ball and Daichi for being there to back him up and get it back over. Well 👏🏽 freakin’ 👏🏽 played 👏🏽
In Season 1, Episode 2 (i think? it’s been so long 😆) you guys had only learned about the hitter and setter positions. I asked which position you could see yourself playing and you guys answered -
Jared: hitter / Jordan: setter
Now that you’ve taken a deep dive into the game and have become familiar with all of the positions - Is there a different position you’d want to try?
Also, the bracket was shown at the end of episode 18. You might’ve missed it or saw it and didn’t read too much into it. But you’ll find out in the next episode too 🙂↕️

Hi J&J, love the reactions and I just wanted to touch on a few things that you mentioned. First, yes Hinata did teach the big guy at the youth camp to return it high to give him time. I love that you took notice of Hinata using his brain (possibly able to hear coach Ukai?) in that moment. However, I think as Kita said all that practice that the monsters do is possibly one of the reasons he could gain that instinct/foresight. It shows Hinatas growth and I always love that moment. Another thing you should do is rewatch the Twins quick again. Take notice of their words, this position, this timing, this angle, it's perfect. Ring any bells??? It was the same lines Kageyama spoke in season one when the "freak quick" was stuff blocked and they lost the game against Aoba Johsai. It's details like these that make me appreciate the writing even more. That block forced them to change in S2. Kageyama and Hinata know the quick isn't invincible and of course these two "Monsters" were able to stop their own move. Instead of a Kageyama set into a Hinata spike, its a Kageyama/Hinata block showing its not all about offense, as the saying goes defense wins championships. This match in particular focused on each cog of a team. There are so many examples: Yamaguchi serving, Tanakas mental, The twins, Kita, Noya/Kinoshita. It shows the inner working of the different players trying to come together to be a cohesive unit and beating the #2 seed. Something about this anime hits different, it's beautiful and has soared into my top 2 anime. Can't wait for you reaction to the movie. Much love from Canada.

Hi, local volleyball coach here
for a roster you'll likely need
1. ] 1 Libero (Nishinoya, Akagi, Yaku, etc)
2.] 2x Middle Blockers (Aone, Tsukishima, Hinata, Hyakuzawa, etc)
3.] 1 Opposite (Daichi, Kita, Kai Nobayuki, Ennoshita, etc)
4.] 1 Wing Spiker (Asahi, Tanaka, Ojiro, Bokuto, Ushijima, etc)
5.] 1 Setter (Kageyama, Sugawara, Oikawa, Atsumu Miya, etc)
Those take care of your starting 6
I would recommend also drafting 1 Pinch Server and 1 substitute Setter
Pinch servers are Yamaguchi, Eita (Season 3), Kinoshita, and Shimada (season 1)

The short montage after Hinata's high receive and Sugawara thinking back to how he was the 1st season really gets to me. All he ever wanted to do was spike, nonstop. Now here he is with not only a clean receive, but with the foresight to make it high so that his team can catch their breath and reset properly. That's the true growth of Hinata, how he's not just in love with spiking, he's in love with volleyball.

I agree with Max. With being introduced to an array of characters I'd like to see who both of you would draft on your team

Hi J&J, I would like to recommend you to make your dream team... I think there should be one setter, one libero, five players of different positions besides these two and a pinch server.. It would be very nice to see )
