I love Ikalgo. His character is so overwhelmingly complex; an abandoned octopus with a heart of gold and body image issues, who almost ironically has the power to take over other people's bodies. HxH has a weird habit of forcing the viewer to empathize with the strangest characters lol. Happy to see you guys are enjoying this arc, one of its strengths is highlighting just how good Togashi is at making character identity, ideology, and actions cohesive. Crazy things to come and curious to hear your thoughts on the arc from a storytelling perspective once it's over!

2024-11-22 03:20:02 +0000 UTCTo explain the ending scene between Morel and Pouf: It was said, that trillions of microorganisms were able to slip though the smoke particles of Morel's "Smoky Jail" (last episode). By splitting up his ( Pouf's ) own Body into trillions of Microorganisms, Pouf was able to partially escape Morel's "Smoky Jail" by pretending to evolve ( using the cocoon ). Due to the fact that Pouf is able to read Morels personality traits with his ability "Spiritual Message" ( giving him the ability to read an opponents emotions ) , Pouf analyzed that Morel is a strong warrior that sticks to his plan and that he is someone that has enough experience to not let his emotions take over his initial objective. (was mentioned in last episode) Which lead Pouf to the conclusion that Morel would definitely not attack Pouf's cocoon as it would be such an easy target to eliminate in such an intense situation. Morel belives that it must be a trap, that Pouf, the "high and mighty" Royal Guard is now such an easy target in an enclosed 1 on 1. Pouf's ending statement was "You have doubts because you are good at what you do. However, that is all there is to it." Telling us viewers "Dont underestimate Pouf's intelligence" :D
