first time viewer i feel so bad for killua 😔💔 ive been liking gon less and less as the show goes on. KILLUA YOU'RE WRONG!! /YOU/ ARE THE LIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

riddle

freedom is slavery

BILLIE (Hairy Harry)

I’m curious if Pitou really can save Kaito🧐 If not, how would Gon be🤯

TAKETAKE

Hey Doubled J, I'm still here, just been hiding in Morel's kush smoke💨💨🤣. I have to say it again, ya'll have some of the best reactions. What are ya'll getting from all these emotional roller coasters that most of the characters are dealing with? For me it's exciting and frustrating, sometimes confusing and full of anxiety. As someone who feels as if I have dealt with a lot of the situations presented in this anime, just in other forms. Like relationships, friendships, work, breast cancer, loss of loved ones, I'm still trying to figure out who I am now all over again at 46. It's crazy but it's real. Another reason why I love anime. Can't wait to get into the rest of these episodes with ya'll, it's gonna be fkn amazing!!! As always love the reactions, appreciate ya'll!!!

Yes 😭😭

Komugi is da best girl!

Shoto IcyHot (Slussh)

Wait ur right that actually really smart damn I wish I would've thought about that

Xz-chencho

interesting, i would chose Knovs power so I can have 24 rooms rent free, lol but also useful to summon it at any time wherever you go, storing items, and escaping any type of apocalypse.

accomplice

Hey Jared & Jordan hope you guys are having a great day. I just wanted to ask y'all a question, if you guys could choose any ability from HXH what would it be. ( Me personally I would choose chrollo )

Xz-chencho

Hopefully! Komugi is one of my favourite characters. I’ve been in so much pain lol 😭🤣 Please care about my girl 🥲

Alpha

Yes thanks Alpha, hopefully the moderator lets this comment pass to the brothers so that they can stop with the weird theories, I mean Kurapika... Really? Btw, he should be super busy with locating the scarlet eyes. J&J please just let Komugi be herself!

I personally have a preference for the darker stuff like AoT. But, I think a lot of people fall into a trap thinking that a show is good *because* it is darker, rather than it being dark *and* good. That said, it’s been fun watching HxH with J&J, but I’m personally not a huge fan. It’s sat solidly at the C- tier on my rankings since my first watch of it. In my opinion Frieren is a great example of a show that shows you don’t have to be dark to be good, and MHA is a great representation of a show that shows you can have a really entertaining story with good humor without relying on it getting too dark.

Kevin

This. This is exactly what I think as well. You almost instantly love the kind and joyful Gon. How can someone who enjoys watching this adorable human be okay with a child going so far as to KILL another living being. 😭 His poor innocence is going out the window!

Kenken

Well said 👏 our boy killua has really softened up 🥺

Kenken

Wow, just wow.. This is a 10/10. I will leave it at that, as there is nothing else to be said..

The narrator is putting in work!!

Gon charging up that Jajanken was proof of his intent to kill Pitou. The attack would've also killed Komugi, a harmless civilian - a casualty of war she has no part of. If Killua hadn't stepped in there was no going back from that. Also, remember, Gon is far far weaker than Pitou (who was suspected to be stronger than Netero). The fact that Komugi was here being healed actually saved Gon and Killua at this moment. Gon might have murderous intent, but he is no match to a not healing Pitou. On the flip side, Komugi being here was dangerous for Pitou. If Killua wasn't influenced by Gon's light and humanity and stayed like who he was from the Hunter Exams (a ruthless assassin). Pitou would've been killed by Gon because Killua would've let him. The intricate dynamics of the whole scene, Pitou a significantly stronger creature, laying down her paws a sign of surrender, Gon standing over her commanding her. It is all so interesting how it might unfold. Komugi's existence and the King caring for her brought about this intricate moral predicament.

Great question! I personally 100% adore AoT and have since placed it in my top 5. But I firmly believe that the animation for AoT is top notch so it may get more votes specially from new fans of Anime. But HxH was created more than 2 decades ago, was intended for children and shown on television...which is why the animation was more cartoonish and less realistic, plus comedic scenes and ridiculous looking characters. But story-wise, HxH takes the cake for me. Just the way it paralleled the real world, characters that had their own stories, made us guessing the whole time, being confused on loving an anti hero or not, world building, THE POWER scheme? crazy! the different stories within the overarching main plot. Imagine if HxH had the same type of animation as AoT or JJK? it would've been banned from television and would've been one of the darkest anime of all time, with all its gruesome deaths since the 1st arc, specially in the Chimera Arc. AoT had an overarching plot of humans against titans and eventually it got more complicated and richer which is absolutely fantastic! But HxH gave us so much more, we dont actually know what HxH's main plot is to this day...it's like we're going through life along with it, it hasn't ended yet and we dont even know it's future, much like our own. I dont know if i made any sense though 😅

imagine seeing a kid with all that anger and pain, it’s really sad and when Killua left AHHH this episode broke my heart 💔 Thank u for amazing reaction 👌🏻

Gon has a kids mentality. Pitou is “evil” and will always be “evil”. So he can’t comprehend that Pitou would be doing a good thing like healing Komugi. It’s black and white thinking. And his morals are shot considering he was going to kill Pitou (killing Komugi in the process).

Alpha

So I have a question for J&J and for anyone who feels like answering Ok so since you boys have watched AoT and are close to finishing HxH, 2 of the most popular anime but with two completely different ways of story telling, so do you guys prefer or find one style more enjoyable? Do you prefer the darker, game of throne-esque style of AoT that showed the brutality of real world issues (like war and opression) throwing plot twists we never saw coming or the more straight forward multi arc story that has its shocking moments but is a lot more light hearted? I think both work for their respective shows and one isn't better than the other, it works for its content but personally I like the darker themes like AoT had, how about you guys? In the end both shows are SS rank in my book

Jinx's Baby Daddy(Brandon)

This episode hurts like hell to watch, Gon has been saving up his energy for a month without being able to use nen and all that build up of rage and grudge inside him for Pitou just hurts, his morals are stopping him from fighting Pitou in that state so when he realizes Pitou is healing Komugi he holds his head up in pain saying this isn't fair leaving him with no target for his rage so he just started punching the floor And poor Killua being hurt by Gon's words telling him he doesn't care when he clearly does but he just doesn't know what to say to make this side of Gon calm down And one last thing this episode always makes me extremely sad because you can feel the disagreement between Gon and Killua and you can see it too, with that shot of Killua's face you can see the pain in his eyes as he feels a bit of distance has been set between them, with it literally being shown as Killua stands still while Gon goes a bit ahead towards Pitou (this is how I view it maybe I'm reading too much into it but idk for sure)

Poor Welfin, sometimes being an overthinker doesn't really help when you think all possible scenarios that might, might not, or may even happen but change. I hate to admit it but sometimes being stupid/idiot has its perks, people don't expect a lot from you, so they don't bother you by their problems. But, If you're too smart people will give you all the responsibilities and point to you as their leader and all the burden and pressure is given to you when didn't even ask for it. ideocracy is freedom.

luma

So everyone has their own opinions but for me: When I was watching this episode I really cared about Komugi and didn’t want anything to happen to her. Another aspect of this is Gon’s state of mind. Gon attacking Pitou here with Komugi’s life on the line probably would have permanently changed him. Attacking Pitou = Komugi dying. I’m just speaking for myself but I didn’t want to see Gon the character we’ve watched the entire show stoop that low. There’s nothing honourable or heroic about that and would have been a very dark choice. Killua was the one holding him back. To Killua, it was a no brainer (and Netero as well for that matter). Killua said “Wait until it’s done” (meaning until Komugi is healed). Yes he correctly deduced that all of Pitou’s aura would be used for the task but for Killua that changed nothing. People like Komugi are untouchable and shouldn’t be harmed and put in danger. Killua had to hold Gon back from that. As a result, Gon let out some of that rage towards Killua and pushed him away (that long shot of Killua looking very dejected showed how it affected him).

Alpha

Hey, I think it’s a good point to say Komugi is just a girl and always been just a girl (and a gungi genius). She’s not an infiltrator with devious intent. She’s not Kurapika or whoever else. I don’t think the writer ever intended for there to be any suspicion regarding her. I think that line of thinking isn’t worth considering anymore/spending time on because there’s no hints, suspense etc. in regards to that matter. Honestly not since she was introduced and especially going forward :)

Alpha

The Voice of Gon is actually a female which is the case with a lot of male characters that are young or more pure/kindhearted. Such as Armin from Attack on Titan or also Killua
