2024-12-29 08:09:54 +0000 UTCI second Run with the wind - if you're missing Haikyuu after you catch up , it's a great way to sorta stay in the Haikyuu world , same music composer and the story is almost written the same way just about running instead. Something about anime that romantises the sport. You get the same feels. Also its a short- quickfire 24 episodes and it closed.

2024-11-12 13:15:44 +0000 UTCFun fact guys- not sure if its been said before - but originally the story was set to centre around Kenma as the protaganist and follow Nekoma the team, but the author changed it to follow Hinata/Kageyama and Karasuno, thats why Nekoma and Kenma are so fleshed out as characters cause the author has so more lore already written about them. It's also why there are carbon copies on both Karasuno and Nekoma. :)

This flashback arc is one of my favorites. Getting a better understanding on Kenma, and how the dynamic of the Nekoma team came to be. I also really appreciate the fact that Kuroo never really intervened in between the taunting that was going on between Kenma and Tora, yeah he would talk to Kenma about getting along with the others but he never really intervened. In case you guys didn’t catch on, the reason why Nekoma calls Kenma a “pampered prince” is that when they receive they always try to get the ball back to him (unlike Kageyama who is all over the place when Karasuno messes up a receive) Nekoma seems to go a bit out of their way to make sure those receives are getting to Kenma 🤭 Fyi the couple that comments on the games, is the captain (3rd year Suguru Daisho and his girl friend) of the volleyball team that Nekoma played before getting to National in “The Path of the Ball OVA” Last thing, when Kenma raised his voices and yelled at Tora, I thought he was gonna turn into a Titan 🫨 If you know you know.🤭

I missed these reactions 🫡😭. I understand you guys are looking for new sports anime so im going to share my (unsolicited hehe 😃) detailed opinion on the most requested ones. Kuroko no basket: Im a former basketball player myself! And I admit this show is fun - funny even. Colorful characters and colorful personalities haha. FORGET the level of realism you guys are used to from haikyuu tho. It can even get parodistical at times. For this reason i prefer “Slam dunk” regarding basketball animangas, but thats from the 90s so maybe its a bit too old. Blue Lock: Hmm personally not the biggest fan but it’s objectively cool looking and original. Sometimes just for the “sake of being cool”. Visually with Blue Lock, you get the perfect mix: the grandiosity of football and the bold, dramatic flair of anime, all in one thrilling package. Ahiru no Sora: GOOD basketball anime. Not as popular as the others A bit slow…. Ace of diamonds: GOOD baseball anime (the best one probably) Also a bit slow… Ao Ashi: Football (soccer) parallel for haikyuu. Realism and deep characters all blended with the love for the sport. Maybe it’s not done as masterfully as in haikyuu but it gets close. Definetly a different thing than blue lock. Run with the Wind: 10/10 Hidden gem It is about the hakone ekiden, a university marathon relay that takes place in japan. I love every character 😭😭😭. As masterfully written and poetic as haikyuu Allright sorry if that took too long, I’d watch even the Amazon commercials with J&J sooooo LOVE YOU GLAD TO BE BACK BYE 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Seeing Nekoma progress into the next round, watching and anticipating for Karasuno to win theirs so the long awaited "Battle at the Dumpster" can finally happen! J&J, my question for you is: With all the characters you've met throughout the show, if you were going into Nationals, who would be in your starting line-up? 1. Setter 2. Libero 3. Middle Blocker 4. Wing Spiker (Left Wing Spiker/Outside Hitter) 5. Wing Spike (Right Wing Spiker/Opposite Hitter) 6. Defense Specialist The end of this anime will be bitter-sweet for all of us but I cannot wait until we all get to watch the movie! :)

2024-11-08 03:43:10 +0000 UTCI love that we got a few episodes of the other teams in their matches like Fukurodani and now Nekoma. The writers didn’t let us forget that there were other teams who worked their butts off to get to this point. And what makes it even more special (in my opinion) is that these 2 teams helped Karasuno a lot during their “evolution”. They’ve become close friends, rivals and some can be considered as a student-mentor kind of bond like Bokuto with Hinata and Kuroo with Tsukki. It’s wholesome to see them watch each other’s matches too. Bokuto and Akashi’s point of views are my favorite ☺️ Also, big props to Nekoma in this match. When you’re receiving hits, it’s going to be sloppy if you’re not positioned right. But the hits come so fast that you don’t have much time to think about placement. But these guys did it intentionally AND still got ‘em up for Kenma. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I can’t believe you guys are nearing the end of the season but I’m excited to see your reactions of how it all goes down!

If youve ever seen JJ Redicks podcast with Lebron then you know he is 100% a student of the game as is Sarukawas coach which you can tell by how much hes learned from Coach Nekomata and applied it to his team. Even while playing at the national level he draws memories from his time with Nekoma. Love the JJ Redick name drop as a Clippers fan I love seeing him as a coach now. Maybe you guys have mentioned it before but whats your guys fav basketball team?
