2024-12-29 07:36:10 +0000 UTChi guys! i’m finally catching up with your reactions after my trip, and it’s been such a joy ✨ i really love how haikyuu shows the variety of athletes you find, especially in high school, and their different motivations for playing. there are athletes who are absolutely head over heels for their sport, where all they want to do is play (like hinata and kageyama) and show such talent that they could even make it a career (like ushiwaka, who’s on the japan youth team). then there are those who see it as just a high school activity; they might quit if it gets too tough, but still enjoy it and could come back to it (like enoshita), or they may even lose their passion for it along the way (like asahi did). and then there are athletes who don’t have a definite reason to keep playing, but no reason to quit either (like kenma). i think it’s fascinating :)

2024-11-08 22:29:33 +0000 UTCYes you guys should definitely watch Kuroko’s Basketball (I also think you should watch in dub so it’s quicker for you to understand), I wouldn’t say it’s fully unrealistic, more so it has unrealistic elements but that, in my opinion, makes it more fun. There are still life lessons the show teaches us, so I don’t think it’s an anime without substance.

Today was one of roughest days I’ve had in a while, but watching through Haikyuu with y’all reminded me that there is such beauty in simply getting back on my feet again. If I can do that, like so many in this show do, things will turn out okay. Reminding everyone to take care of yourselves and to fly high! Thank you Jordan and Jared for providing a safe space for your patrons while we all try and navigate this chaotic world ❤️

Sometimes you really do just need to really have it out with someone and get it all out there and then eventually that can lead to further understanding, respect, and even friendship ! Besides the Kenma / Toro relationship, I always love to see Kenma and Kuro on screen bc I love their friendship

And I’ve come to be okay with that 😌 Because I know that if it’s important, I’ll be there. And I feel like Kenma is the same. He’ll put his energy into what matters. His love for gaming and not shying away from leveling up puts him in his head a lot but it resulted in being strategic and observant. It allowed him to use those skills in real life, leading him to becoming the brain of Nekoma and gaining the trust of his teammates.
