2024-11-10 22:15:17 +0000 UTCthis is my favorite episode of season 2 of jjk. there are a couple of other episodes that rival it, but this one. this one is Cinema. the pacing. the camera angles. the lighting. the thorough and scientifically accurate narration, without being overbearing. it's also very contained; it stands on its own. the storyline is simple: yuji and choso run into each other in the subway. they fight. yuji loses. choso has some strange existential crisis. the end. you don't need to know Anything Else about the season arc to understand or appreciate this episode. it is Focused. it is Beautiful.

The fight between Yuji and Choso is my favorite of all the anime. I don't know, the choreography, the music, the light, the stakes, the cinematography, everything was perfect. You can really feel that Choso respected Yuji. No complicated motives like Jogo who wants to bring the age of curses, no selfish motives like Mahito who wants to kill Yuji just for his own pleasure. No, Choso just wants to avenge his brothers and has pure respect for the one who defeated them. I also feel like it was the perfect test for Yuji, an opponent at somewhat the same level as him. He lost nonetheless. That's a good reminder that it doesn't matter who you are, even if you are a main character, if someone is better than you in JJK and you fight him one on one, you will lose. My favorite fight of the anime thus far and that's between two characters who aren't even in the top 5 strongest in their verse (I feel at least Gojo, Sukuna, Geto, Yuta and Jogo are stronger), damn. Choso is really him. He's just too cold and cool. Favorite character.

2024-11-06 19:02:24 +0000 UTCahhhh you guys will get the answers for choso later!! excited for that 🤭🤭 sukuna would never come out to help yuji lol that little scene was him basically getting annoyed at the fact that yuji lost and then just accepting the fact yuji was going to die. he opened his eyes again in interest because choso didn’t deal a killing blow and instead started having a mental breakdown there is a little after credits scene in this episode i hope y’all get the chance to watch before the next few!

Your videos recharge me after a long long day at work. Even though rewatching JJK with you is a bit harder than AOT, because unlike AOT, which I already rewatched many times, I only watched JJK once before. As a non-native English, non-native Japanese speaker, the complicated details & terms in JJK sometimes made me pause & rewind your videos to read the sub and later find you also pause & rewind which results in me watching the clip 3-5 times lol (I did start learning Japanese for Gojo tho, because I want to truly understand what he’s saying and the tasty nuance won’t get lost in translation. ;) Stupid things we do for love, huh) Anyway, I still find your videos very enjoyable! I love how rewatching with you guys and reading the comments brings me new perspectives or makes me see new details. Sorry for the long comment with all my mumbling. I always wanted to express my appreciation to you guys whenever I catch up the progress but the appreciation accidentally turned into a long love letter. haha Thank you again and keep the good vibes! Now every time I rewatch the series it cant help but jump to the forefront and has solidified my feelings on this series being the best representation of anime as a form of art 👨🏻🍳👌🏼

2024-11-05 16:20:41 +0000 UTCHonestly speaking though, if not for the toilet idea of Mechamaru, Choso would've beaten Yuji without taking as much damage. His blood manipulation technique was flawless and directly counters Yuji's specialty in close combat since he can't get close to him. Not that Choso lacks close combat skills (he still managed to beat Yuji in the toilet). If not for his weird spaghetti flashback, he would've killed Yuji (and unleashed Sukuna). Choso is my 3rd fave character in JJK btw, you'll learn his backstory later ♥

2024-11-05 11:34:56 +0000 UTCCoagulation means clotting. Basically, to make sure their blood stays liquid and easy to manipulate, Blood Manipulation users turn off their blood's clotting. That fact is why it was able to dissolve in water so easily. As for Red Scale - Choso is forcing more blood into certain parts of his body internally to strengthen them. This puts him at risk of thrombosis (another word for blood clots!) and damaging that part of his body - but in that moment Choso didn't care. He had to win. Worth the risk, to him.

2024-11-05 02:33:00 +0000 UTCMy dad and I theorized that Yuji has some special power for inducing psychosis upon his enemies, lol, it’s weird that it’s happened twice! Choso and Todo! I love Choso with his stupid little pigtails/weird buns, who did the poor man’s hair like that? There isn’t a single character in JJK that I don’t feel strongly about! If you missed it, (I’m combining comments, this is for episode 12) the evil blond guy (who’s name escapes me) had tattoos around his eyes. They began to disappear slowly as he fought, especially during the fight with Nanami! I won’t explain his whole cursed technique, the narrator will handle that when it’s the right time, but it is related! If I could pick a single character to throw hands with in the series (season 2 at least) i’d pick him. Not that I’m a fantastic fighter, i’ve never been in a fight in my life, but i think the psychotic rage that would fill me on sight would carry me through. He deserves it too, hurting poor Ichiji like that! If you missed it, they said that Ichiji was okay! My man lives to see another day, for now at least!

Sukuna will never do anything to help Yuji, he doesn’t care weather Yuji is dead or alive. At the end Sukuna was basically just watching everything and said something but he didn’t do anything to Choso. Who knows maybe you’ll get answers to what happened to Choso later on. 👀

2024-11-04 22:55:11 +0000 UTCfor your question at the end, i don't necessarily enjoy watching people battle or fight or whatever, but when it comes to anime it's all about the animation of the scenes. if JJK was a live action show i think i would have to look away from a lot of scenes, i'm not a horror or gore girly. watching the movement and color be animated and watching the characters movements like they are part of a dance is just beautiful. JJK takes it up a notch by also having a lot of characters be very beautiful as well 😅

2024-11-04 21:50:54 +0000 UTCtbh seeing ppl fight brings an adrenaline rush to us and makes it exciting… but wanna know the real reason too. why do we get so excited when we see fight or matches? hmm well now thinking bout it for me it’s the way the fight goes. like what kind of techniques they gonna do or use. well they throw a badass punch i haven’t seen before or will they stop drop and roll their opponent… or will they 619 the enemy.(iykyk) this is my opinion tho… like even watching the avengers gets me all hyped cuz i wanna know what thor or even captain america are gonna throw at their opponent so they can win the fight haha like what if they throw something else that isn’t the hammer or the shield u know? idk if this even makes sense anymore im just rambling at this point. but yeah i think that’s what gets us hyped and excited to see fights on a movie, show or anime. 🤺🥊
