You've seen him in a couple of flashbacks - he's the same head of the family that treated Maki and Mai like crap, who Maki told she was going to come back and dethrone him as head of the clan; he's also the same head of the clan Toji was negotiating a price with to sell Megumi to the clan. They never showed his full face in those flashbacks - but that Waluigi mustache was shown, and it's unmistakable 😂 He's a big deal politically as the top dog of one of the big three sorceror clans (Zen'in, Kamo, Gojo).

2024-11-05 03:03:59 +0000 UTCAs Mariah Carey would say “it’s time!!!!”….for one of my favorite Nanami-centric episodes. As I’ve commented before, absolutely adore him and everything he stands for in the world of JJK. The episode title, “Dull Knife” is a nod to his weapon, which is the dull/blunt blade wrapped in the cow-spot patterned cloth we’ve all seen him carry. Ironically, he’s only using his fists and brick wall of a body during his fight scene. By the way, the flash we get of someone’s face is when Nanami is recalling his friend and classmate Haibara as his corpse laid on the examination table after they failed their joint mission during their first year at Jujutsu High (the scene where Nanami bitterly asks Geto why Gojo can’t just handle all their missions given how much stronger he is than any other sorcerer, if you remember). While we’re thinking back to the first few episodes of this season , I forgot to ask at the time what you guys thought of Nanami’s 2006 hair (he totally had an emo boy phase lol) and the fact that he’s younger than Gojo (by a year)! I remember how much that totally shocked me given how much more ‘adult’ he acts. And on that note, this episode just totally hammers home again why fans of JJK love Nanami so much. He’ll always, always prioritize protecting youths. And, uh, wowww does he look good doing it 🥵 is all I’ll say. I also love how after he goes totally rogue on ponytail guy, he’s back to his gentle, calm and reassuring self, lowering himself to crouch in front Nobara and Nitta, making sure they feel safe, and although he’s a bit harsh with Nobara while telling her she’ll slow him down, he’s obviously only saying it to keep her out of harm’s way. Lots more of protective Nanami to come, can’t wait to hear what you guys think.
