Getting caught up!

I am taking a different route for this episode. Everyone is commenting on Kageyama's growth in this episode and I agree with almost everything that was said and I don't feeling like repeating everything all over again. So here is my take on the episode. As we all know this episode was about Kageyama and because of that two other players are overlooked in this episode. You guys did noticed and talk a tiny bit about Tsukki's growth and how he and Kageyama were at first not connecting and then as they tried more the better their attack went. So I thank you for noticed Tsukki's growth but you did not acknowledge that it was Hinata who mentioned it to the rest of the team. The other person that was overlooked was Hinata he might not have done much on the court, but when he was off it was him that defended Tsukki and explained why Tsukki and Kageyama were having trouble connecting. It was Suga who was the only one on the team who acknowledge Hinata's growth even though Hinata thought Suga was talking about Tsukki. One last thing. The point that you thought was Karasuno's when Hinata hit the ball and it was blocked. I think after looking very very close at it I think after the ball bounced of the block it bounced off of Hinata's head before it went out of bounds. It like you can barely see it blink and you miss it. Now I could be wrong but that would explain why the point went to Date Tech instead of Karasuno.

Another Masterpiece in cinematic writing by the author.. AGAIN haha. This is great showing of turning a negative into positive. Kageyama hated being called the King cause of it's negative conatation but Hinata telling Kageyama, that he needs to start taking power from being call the King and also telling him that "Karasuno isn't Junior high and you aren't playing with a bunch of kids who are going to have a cry cause you were a bit harsh with your words, we are athletes and want to all go to the next level.. and we can't do that with a Goody-Too-Shoes... deep down You Are A King, so be a King. We need the King of the Court." It also ties beautifully with Kindachi when he asked Hinata how Kageyama was doing and Hinata told him that it's okay for teammates to fight and not back down. It helps that Hinata and Kageyama had their 'blow up' in season 2 when they fought and came out of it closer than ever before and so now they trust each implicitly and know that no matter what is said, they always have each others best interest at heart and so they can be honest with each other.. but Kageyma hasn't had that with the rest of the team.. so this blow out is basically what he went through with Hinata but with the team instead... it simply had/needed to happen, no way around it. The scene with Tsukki is what Oikawa and Miya(blondie setter from nationals) have been trying to say, is that that a real setter pushes his spikers, and even if the spiker doesnt believe he can, the setter pushes and SHOWS the spiker that he can, by forcing him to be better. The words from Miya always resonates "Anyone who can't hit my sets just suck", him basically saying "I work my fucking ass off to make this set easy for you.. if you can't hit it, the issue isn't with me, you're just shit." Finally caught up to you boys- love your reactions, I think anyone who has played a team sport really resonate and understand the messages this anime is trying to portray. We all have gone through it at some point and we can really relate. Much love from Melbourne, Australia.

also all of the players were trying out new things from their 5 day break from each other, and obviously when youre trying out a new skill, it wont work out perfectly right away. it's always good to practice these skills in practice games so that you're prepared for when you have to use that skill in a real tournament. kind of like when karasuno kept losing at the tokyo training camp with all those other schools. they were eventually able to make their skills work after failing multiple times. tanaka was trying out jump serving and the super sharp cut shot and asahi was trying something else that he didn't get to explain fully (since he got cut off by kageyama). though maybe they should have let him know in advance so that kageyama would know that they're trying something new and that his setting isn't the problem. they did eventually say that tho so it worked out lol.

riddle

kageyama is my favorite character in haikyuu, so all of the episodes from when atsumu first called him a goody two shoes up until this episode made me so sad for him 😭 when he first came back from the camp, i could tell that kageyama wasn't the same and that he seemed really on edge and almost insecure in a way. so when asahi said that he felt like kageyama had a scowl on his face ever since he came back, i was like "ok so im not crazy and there really is something wrong with him." lol i really empathize with him because he was pretty traumatized from his middle school experience, and didn't want that to happen again in high school. he worked so hard to change both as a player and a teammate to create a better relationship with his new team at karasuno. he followed oikawa's advice about setting in a way that is easy for his players to hit, only for atsumu to make him question everything he had done to change as a player/teammate. him yelling at the team saying that he's doing a good job setting, so they should score more, then immediately catching himself and apologizing really broke my heart. you could tell he was scared of repeating the same mistake he made in middle school and ruining the good relationship that he had built with his team. im really glad that the team knows kageyama and his past, and that they were all there to reassure him. he really got such a good team.

All right πŸ‘πŸΎ Okay✊🏾 As always watching you both fall in love with this show warms my heart. Between working, taking care of kids, being a husband, and an overall productive member of society takes up so much time and energy. But I put EVERYTHING on hold for Haikyu ThursdaysπŸ¦β€β¬›πŸ‘‘πŸ

Yay this is one of my favorite episodes of the whole show πŸ₯°πŸ₯° so i am curious if yalls opinion on Kageyama's outburst will change when you watch the dub. and it doesn't have to, but i think maybe yall were missing a lot of the tension between the players during these moments because you were agreeing so strongly with Kageyama immediately. But then with the moment with Asahi we had our little hero Hinata break the tension, and this is one of my favorite moments in the whole show. I think him saying it doesn't matter if Kageyama is the king was a really helpful moment for both Kageyama and the team because Kageyama is shown he doesn't have to worry about being ostracized like before, and as for the team they can move forward communicating their needs better with him and each other. i'm gunna speak my truth and say i do think this episode is especially fun to watch in dub, the comedic delivery of the lines is *chefs kiss* and they do change some lines but it just makes it funnier lol my favorite being our big guy Asahi saying "if i look around and realize i wasn't getting the ball anymore, i think that would probably hurt my feelings" lol it's the delivery that makes it funny πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ i love this show.
