2024-10-04 20:08:59 +0000 UTCI don't know your guy's knowledge on greek mythology (or mythology in general), but the chimaera is a greek mythological creature, with the most popular iteration having the body and head of a lion, a head of a goat, wings, and a tail that is also a living snake (and some or all of the heads breathe fire). If you look up on google "chimaera mythology" or "chimaera greek", you can find some depictions of it without any spoilers. The chimaera ants get their name from being able to posess multiple traits from other creatures, just like the chimaera. Also, even though you don't like the massacre of humans by the ants, keep in mind that they are still animals. When feasting on child flesh, they are not doing it out of evil morality, but out of primal instincts to feed and grow and reproduce

His mixture of human genes and various animals instantly made him a "squadron leader". A step above a worker chimera ant. Due to his human genes he is also capable of speaking while worker ants don't have that capability.
