It’s very uncomfortable to replay what the giant queen ant with human teeth said in my mind, to give birth to a king cuz she’s the queen, when my deducing skills brought me to the conclusion or question rather, is she giving birth to her own life partner? A husbson?

The flashback you saw of Kite on Whale Island is a scene from episode 1 of the 1999 version.
From what I've heard, they didn't include it in the 2011 version because they didn't know the series would become as popular as it did and have so many episodes that the character would reappear.

I think it was done on purpose since the creator had the idea of Kite from the very beginning.. In the 1999 version, the whole story with Kite saving Gon from the Foxbear creature happens in the very first episode of HxH.. then Kite disappears and only comes back after Greed Island arc like we see now.. After seeing Kite in the first episode, Gon decides he wants to be a hunter and sets off on his journey..

Was that done on purpose or did the creator like the look of the disguise and decided to make a whole character later on with the look

I think Gon understands his father's intentions clearly and willingly wants to go along with it.
I know many of us would have said F you to Ging at this point if we were in Gon's place XD

See guys..I told you Ging was a really frustrating character XD
Remember that when Gon is the protagonist of the story, we follow him through his journey of finding his father which is his biggest goal. This goal is what motivated him to become a hunter in the first place.. So when Gon finally meets Ging, that means his story has completed.
Also as far as we know Gon, he likes it when he is given a difficult challenge instead of the easy way out. I do agree he is really stubborn

Gon is just the personification of the saying "what matters is the journey not the destination", Gon want to find his dad yes, but what matter more to him is finding him by himself (the same way he wanted a "complete victory" over Razor when he could have got a easier win by just dodging the ball), Gon always accord more importance to "how" he will achieve something than actualy achieving it, it was the same against Hanzo (the ninja during the hunter exam) Gon refuse to surrender no matter what cause he is stuborn, and even if his goal was to become a hunter he refuse to accept his win when Hanzo was the one to surrender because Gon doesnt wanna win this way, so he was willing to reject his victory (wich mean not becoming a Hunter) rather than accept a victory who wasnt obtain the way he wanted, we can wall it being stuborn i personaly think it's stupide, but even if isnt the smart choice (in my opinion) i'm fine with it and that doesnt bother me.
i've heard poeple said Gon would do everything to achieve a goal he set for himself but i disagree, he would do everything to achieve it the way he want to...
a contrario he his willing to not achieve something he could have, if isnt the way he want to do it, an other exemple would be against the boomber when he was willing to make the whole operation at risk even if that would have mean fail at his obective of beating the game by not following the plan only because he wanted to land a cleen hit before, but i still somewhat understand it, Gon have always act like that anyway. x)
strangly i've had never get frustrated by Gon decision to not wanting Kite telling him about Ging curent wereabout, i prefer watch a consitent character who make a different choice than i would have rather than an inconsistant one who doesnt make much sense, and i would find it realy out of character for Gon to do the oposite choice here tbf.

When I first watched this show about 3 years ago now, I thought the show was fun with genuine moments between the characters. I also really liked the logic behind the power system and how each character is thinking to themselves about a situation or fight in a very natural way (a way that makes sense for their character) that makes every interaction feel very real even though it's obviously fiction. But when I finished this arc, it very easily became my favorite piece of media of all time, across all of TV, movies, video games, etc. Don't want to over hype anything because when I watched it, I went in completely blind with only hearing that the show is good. Try to "go in blind" with no expectations if you can.
I have a lot to say about this arc, but I will save it for when the time comes.

What an incredible observation you guys made. The path to Ging is getting more and more dangerous. The stakes for this journey are getting higher and higher. As you pointed out, Gon has had some very dangerous encounters already. Like the Hunter Exam which had many participants die, being captured by the Phantom Troupe multiple times, and losing a limp and nearly dying against Genthru.
Since Ging is shown to have heavily planned this journey for Gon, the question becomes when is it too much? When are the near death experiences for his young and naive son too much? Because the costs of this journey are quickly approaching death for Gon and it seems like according to Ging, this is all part of the plan.
From what we can tell, "he's my son" is the only justification Ging has for putting Gon on this journey. We'll see if Gon's bloodline is enough to overcome this challenge or if he'll crash and burn along the way.

Thankful you guys are skipping the endings and intros! Shout out to whoever did that. There's a lot of spoilers! Make sure whoever told you guys to skip the endings/intros also tells you to skip the openings/endings for the midpoint of the arc too :)

Kite is such an amazing character because he shares gon's admiration for ging, they both have that same curiosity about him
things are gonna change a lot over the next few episodes boys so as you guys say, keep an open mind

I think When Kite offers to tell Gon where his father is, Gon refuses because he wants to find Ging on his own, without taking shortcuts and he wants to find Ging without cheating.
Love your discussions regarding Ging's plans for Gon especially regarding the Magnetic force vs Accompany.

My favorite arc finally, bring out your notepads once again, so much new information and new names, the pausing and rewinds are going to increase exponentially.
I hope you enjoy it's very raw and very interesting too, so many unknowns and plot twists, just incredible storytelling!

By the time I got to the end of this arc, I admired each and every character and their story in this. Such good writing and I feel like the re-used OSTs in this show really shine in this arc. 10/10. Gorgeous animation and scenes. Good luck!
