HxH - Ep. 70 REACTION! *ALL PATRONS*

You bring up a great point! While I love Gon and Killua's friendship and trust, it's plain to see that sometimes Gon goes overboard and can hurt the people around him. Whether it's from naivety or selfishness, it can be very toxic and harmful. I think the show is great at hinting that the other side of the coin of something "good" can borderline be "bad" and vice versa.

Well, I kinda feel bad for Killua. You see, in my eyes Gon and Killua are two spectrums. Gon is too selfish and Killua is too selfless. It creates quite a toxic relationship right here. This is why I have never liked Gon's character. He's written incredibly well but as a person... i would stay away. This is actually interesting because at the beginning of the show Gon was portrayed as the "good" one and "Killua" as the "bad" one. As the show goes on it changes. There's no white or black, everything is gray. Incredible writing! It's so subtle yet noticeable!

while i agree agree with you on Killua action i still think Gon is selfish to want this "total victory" even if it mean hurting and puting Killua life as risk, i'm not sure what to think, since the first time i saw this episode my first though about it was exactly like your but the more i think about it the more i ask to myself, would i ever place my personal objectif over the health of someone i have a realy strong bond with, and if yes what would that said about me? well, since the bond betwen this two is obvious and cant be deny, that just mean Gon his willing to make poeple very close to him suffer to achieve his own objective and it's a bit of a toxic relationship for Killua imo, (i know Killua can take it and Gon never realy consciously think "i will achieve thing the way i want even if that mean hurting Killua", but it is still what hapening in this episode noneless). a contrario Killua will never do anything willingly who put Gon in danger for his own benefice or to acomplish one of his obecjtif, that being said Gon is also willing to put his own life in danger and harm himself to acomplish something the way he want to do it while he could have done it differently, so it's just a kid who doesnt realy understand being stuborn on thing at the depend on his own safety and the one of his friends it's a bad thing (imo), we could said his selfiness come from his inocence in a way and he never have any malicious intend, so as i said i'm not sure of what to think about Gon behavior, Gon his a "good" character in subtance but he is not always good for the poeple close to him, even if its unintentional. that being said Gon also bring a lot of posive thing to poeple around him and i still believe meeting Gon has be an overall positive thing for Killua. anyway i can completly understand both vision of this episode, and i dont realy have a strong opinion in favor of one or the other just wanna add this perspective somewhere. PS: it should be obvious but sometime i feel like i should said it outloud, everyone is free to agree or disagree, i just said what i have in mind i dont realy try or care to convince anyone tbh. i debate whit myslef over different perspective of everything h24 in my own head so... i usualy dont even take my own view and perspective of thing for a truth, just a possibility among other, and i have a sligth bias toward some possibility over some other thats all. x)

I love this episode because it highlights Gon & Killua's friendship! There are just some things in life you can do only with your #1 person by your side. Gon only feels comfortable going all out to the point where he knows he's hurting Killua's hands, but has such a strong bond with Killua that he knows it wouldn't deter their friendship in any way. Killua exhibits ride or die this episode. He understands how important a real win (total victory over Razor) is to Gon, so he doesn't stop it. He willingly puts himself in harms way again and again to be the support that Gon needs to go all out. Their trust and bond is so deep. They want each other to get as strong as possible and help achieve their goals, willing to put their friend above themself to make that happen.

Hello J&J, this was a great reaction, the interaction between Gon and Killua on this episode in particular had me almost crying the first time I watched it, even though I'm not the type to cry at all. You mentioned that Gon reminds you of Hinata, but it's actually the other way around, Hinata reminds you of Gon; they both have bright Sunshine like dispositions, the way they view the world with unbridled curiosity, unwillingness to give up, eagerness to absorbe anything and everything, strong sense of loyalty and morals, unyielding competitive personality and the drive to always keep moving forward and improve, sure they "exist" in completely different worlds but this type of personality will always attract other people around them, for better or for worse. I hope you continue to love this story, it was one of the first ones I read and watched and a big reason as to why to this day I keep watching anime and reading manga. Keep up your amazing work, love from Colombia ❤️
